Funny, really, but my favourite cameras tend to have boring names - Ikonta, 35SP, OM2SP, 35RD, Paxette etc.

I'm surprised Voigtlander Vitessa has not come up yet, or Kodak Medalist.

Super Westomat 35 - something endearingly 50's-60's about that. Makes me think of a laundromat.

Taron Promaster
- looks like a Japanese rangefinder, sounds like a Manga superhero

And another vote for the Voigtländer Brilliant (mine is a "Brillant" though)

Finally, the Yashica M. Not Minister. Not Electro. Just M.

Or the Nicca.

I always thought it would be good to have one as my main camera with a similar backup body. Then I could tell people that I take all my photographs with a pair of Niccas.

Nikon F ans Voiglander Vitessa. One of them, for years just a dream, turned out to be one of my favorite cameras as well as favorite camera name.

Yes, the "Clack" is also one of my favorites.

Might be what someone I know calls a certain Voigtlaender product: "The Bissel."

I like the way that the Olympus Pen models are accompanied by the Stylus. Neither particularly great names in themselves.

besides Five-One-Nine, Ricoh XR-X because it's symmetrical and so short. and Ricoh GR - short and sharp lika a katana.

And Konica I, II and III - simplicity not only in operation (but not construction)! And then, why not Konica POP?

Agfa Click & Clack are my fave camera names. Also "Kowa Kallo" which almost translates to "bonehead" in my own language.

Valkyrie isn't "Teutonic", it is English. In German it is Walküre and it derives from Nordic (Scandinavian) mythologies.

Anyway, I like the Kodak Instamatic with a magicube. And I find that Kuribayashi has a nice ring to it. But favourite? I don't know, I never thought 'bout that...

The "Leidolf Lordomat" - always makes me laugh as it sounds so German.

Another fav is the "Petri Computor 35" - great font used on the name as well, the future looked so much better in the 70s: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fi...omputor_35.JPG
