It seems as though I have fallen prey to that other obsession so many mechanical camera aficionados seem to share: mechanical watches. I just bought an Omega Speedmaster.

Last month sold all three of my Olympus OM-1 cameras and lenses — at a small loss, I should add.

So of course last week I came across two at different stores and picked them up.

I also found a Diana F+ online that I didn't really want, but it came with 15 rolls of recently expired Lomography 120 film (100, 800, 200 slide) that I will have fun with.

I bought the Kashmir UL by F-stop. It's a camera bag specifically designed for women and one I've been wanting for some time. When I saw it for sale on another camera forum, I decided to go for it. I'm hoping to put it to use very soon.

Just received this for my om2n. Glass and body in really nice shape. Just love these old lenses with built in hoods. Small, light but solid feel. Excellent olympus.

Just bought a retail, brand-new, sealed-in-cellophane copy of "Two Worlds Epic Edition" pc game. It was only about £4.99.

However, in order to play it, it wants a CD-Key number and there isn't one, neither on the box, the box insert, the cd nor on the 4 inch x 5 inch piece of paper that warns us that the phone number the game mentioned for registering the game is incorrect and it gives us the correct phone number.

I'm sure most members are aware that there is a difference between installing a game and registering it, especially when you don't have to register it in order to play it.

I've emailed the company that made the game "SouthPeak" and asked for some help but I've had no reply yet. If I don;t get one by next Monday I'll return the game to seller and get a refund.

I don't blame the seller, but in the end if they refund me, they'll be the ones directly losing out.

If I don't get a reply from "SouthPeak" games I'll make sure everyone knows they know they arer selling games that can't be played.

Rant over.

Nice. I really want an MP one day... for now the M6 does the trick, but boy would I like an MP.

Well I just bought yet another 500C/M (within two weeks), it's crazy but I found a deal on a nice package that I further negotiated (502 ever ready case, strap, and metered advance knob, plus Planar 80 C t*, and A12 back) and the serial number indicated my birth year... so I'm a sucker for that... I will most likely sell the other one, it's newer and in "mint" (I hate that term) condition. Hopefully I won't have trouble selling it.

I saw this odd looking camera and wondered what it was about; the best way forward was to buy it and play...

The front cover removes to form a remote control:-

Or else it can be put on the back to sort out the settings:-

And, a neat touch, the frensel lens on the flash extends with the lens in telephoto shots:-

It's APS and there was a film in it and so I've put a battery in and will try my luck shooting with it. Then I'll have to find somewhere to get APS developed.

Regards, David

I bought "another bag". Woo hoo.

LOL!

Having spent a day carrying my Hasselblad 500CM again for the first time in ages, I realized that none of my bags made it a very handy thing to walk with. Now, ordinarily, this is not a problem since I tend to use it with a tripod most of the time. BUT there are those occasions when I just want to stuff it into a bag with some film and a second lens and go for a walk.

I decided after looking at every bag I had that none of them really made it very handy. The Wotancraft Easy Rider worked, but was clumsy. Most of the rest didn't really work, and particularly not if I used the 120mm or 50mm lens instead of the 80mm. In many of my bags, it simply wouldn't fit at all.

Looking at the variety of different bags available, the one that seems to suit what I'm looking for best is the new Peak Design Everyday Tote v2. So I ordered one and will test it out when it arrives. If it works, it will also work for the Hasselblad 907x when it arrives ... it has a similar if somewhat shorter camera form factor.

The worst thing for me to realize when it comes to buying camera equipment is that I need "another darn bag!" because I have so many of the things already. It's amazing that none of the ones I had already actually worked with this camera in a useful way.

Thanks for the reference which I didn't pick up in a few searches. It gives me a better chance of finding a manual for it. If I get anything out of the old film I'll be back...

BTW, it vaguely reminded me of the Leica (APS) C11.
