Thanks, paulfish. Capture One is a RAW converter from Phase One:

http://www.phaseone.com/en/Software/...-Overview.aspx

I'm currently using a trial and very seriously wondering if it's worth the terrifying cost.

Thank you, Paul. And I agree, the color does indeed look like Fujichrome slide colors.

Just when I think I'm in love with B&W, the X100 brings the color and makes me rethink it:

Maggieo, there's something about "Soap" that really grabs me. I have a craving to see it printed Thomas Struth big.

I was thinking more of nattily dressed guys exuding a sense of debauchery.

Thanks!

That's what I was thinking, too!!! I just have to find a printer or lab that could make it happen.

I just got an X100! Finally had to try one out. I played with one in a giant Japanese department store in October, but it was so hot in there that for some reason all the cameras felt plastic, hollow and cheap. Or I was tired. Anyway, decide to give it another look, and so far I really enjoy it. It's a little fiddly to start up, toggle viewfinder view, etc, but in use it's pretty easy. I'll post some images soon. I'm using it for a restaurant shoot on Saturday morning.

Love the solitary figure. The sharpness of the figure really makes the image work well. Thanks for posting this.
