Collectors are hoarders for a reason... and it has nothing to do with charity.

Which acclaimed photographer has shot only one roll of film over a couple of days and got that same acclaim? Not many I would think... and are we going to forget all the rolls it took to get good?

Certainly there must have been cases of a guest guitar solo being used on a record that receives acclaim...maybe a little more than 36 notes, but then again... maybe not.

Hmmm, one minute it's a dream and the next we want hard realism...

As for musicians and photographers; what photographer has to take perfect photos at the rate a musician has to hit the keys exactly and for the same length of time?

A school with a large collection of donated Leicas, but mostly under glass.

Miami University of Ohio is in Oxford, OH, (near Cincinnati) and is one of the older sister schools of giant younger brother Ohio State.

Honestly, it sounds like that collection should be under glass.

I can confirm our uni is full of K1000s and they are used a hell of a load and they do end up breaking but aways come back after a quick repair
