Its on Ogden... Near Pulaski. A little east of Pulaski I think. Nice quiet little spot.

I hadn't been by there for 6-8 years and was surprised it was still semi-abandoned looking. I think for awhile someone was going to put a restaurant in there, but it looks like that fizzled out.

Spring is here!!!

Albeit several weeks late. But hope springs eternal. Looking for 127 film?

Break out the plastic. Collect your film spools and get ready! Between Charles, with his wonderful step-by-step instructions on cutting 120 film down to 127, and the imminent Ilford ULF program for 2018, we can all get the film we need!

Just in time!

Think ahead, though... the program needs a lot of orders. It will be a stretch for me but I will order two rolls. If I can do, I believe anyone can do it!

If anyone is interested, Bradford Camera Exchange have one in the window, at a fairly pricey 849. On the upside, it looks immaculate. Even the original box looks to be in mint condition.

Today, I can honestly say that my bonding with the Baby Rolleiflex and the image results is coming along very well!

Shooting HP5+ and ReraPan 100, and developing in DD-X, my negatives are lovely, i will drop them off to be scanned tomorrow!

From procuring bulk film, to rolling my own, shooting, developing and scanning, I can honestly say it is a fun process! The results are worth it!

Did I mention how fun the little 4x4 camera is to carry and shoot?

Did they make their 23 roll quota?

Best,
-Tim

PS: Maybe if you promise to buy one roll a month for as long as their supply lasts, they'll buy the 23 roll package.

No idea, I doubt it this early, but they should by the 25th... they will know within a week after that, for sure! Think positive!!!

I went back to re-shoot some of my old favorites. What did I do differently this time? I used Fuji Provia 100... Processed by The Darkroom in California.

Charles,

Have you tried Velvia yet?

After watching post after post on the Kodachrome thread, I am wondering why I should not just shoot either Provia or Velvia to begin with...

I dabbled in Velvia a little, but always preferred Provia. I shot little else but Provia from about 1997 or so until 2008 when I bought my D80..... Hard to believe that was ten years ago already! Crazy. This roll of Provia in my Baby Rollieflex was my first one since 2008!

Hey Charles, are you still having all your color 127 work done at "The Darkroom"?

Was talking with Dwayne's the other day and they are still doing 127 color processing. They've done nice work for me in the past with 135 and 120, so I think I'll give them a try.

Best,
-Tim

Cool, I think I will pick up a 5-pack of Provia this week. Do you shoot it at box speed?

I usually used ASA 80. "Sunny 16" on my N90S was f5.6 at 1/640th if I remember right... Although it sounds funny to speak in terms of Sunny 16 with a camera as advanced as an N90S.

That's good that Dwayne's can still do 127. I haven't tried them - the Darkroom seems to do very good work and very fast. But I think the last 35mm Provia slides I did back about 2006 to 2008 came from there. The box was marked "Kodak Processing" but on the back it said it was from Parsons Kansas. Standard yellow Kodak box, so I think they had subbed the E-6 work out to Dwayne's. The results were great though - much better than what I had been getting done locally, back when I could still get it done locally.

Thinking about getting out of the 127 game for now

Looking at my film "kit" I'm probably gonna focus on the Canon Rangefinder gear as a priority and just a couple of other bodies/systems. Now- bear in mind I just bought a fair amount of 127 film. I currently have 27 rolls in the fridge that I could sell along with my Grey Baby and accessories. Haven't created an ad yet...just thinking about it.

Is that all ReraPan, or do you have some color film in there as well?

Not sure what I did wrong this time. I shot a roll of Provia and for some reason, the roll ran out after just ten frames. I sent the roll to the Darkroom in California and they found only seven photos on it! I'll know more when the negatives come back but so far only seven frames were scanned and uploaded. Gets expensive when film is $8-$9 a roll and processing is $26 or so...

This one shot was worth it, though! most beautiful, sexiest car ever...

Let us know if you figure out what happened.

Remember, only 10 days left until 127 Day!

The mailman just dropped off my package from The Darkroom (wow that was quick!). Looks like there were several inches of blank, unexposed leader. It didn't come at the end of the roll, so I can only conclude it came from the beginning. I think somehow the beginning of the film didn't trip the pin to start the automatic frame counter, or possibly I had the film taped off-center on the paper backing and thus it didn't trip the pin as soon as it should have (in which case, I'm lucky it caught it at all eventually). My mistake, I am sure.

Camera now has B&W in it so I can develop it at home and getter a better view if something has been done wrong.

A Baby Rollei is on it's way to me. There's no strap included , unfortunately.

Are there any alternatives to finding an original strap with the appropriate pins?

Would one from a full-size Rollei fit? I need to set mine side-by-side and check.

There appears to be a new Rera Pan film on the market in 127 format. Rera Pan 400. Its in stock at Freestyle.

Just like the previous, 100 ASA offering, it doesn't say where it comes from. I suppose its possible its HP5...

Hey, thanks for the heads up!!!

I need to start back shooting the BR but life gets in the way. And I just received 200 rolls of expired film to sort through.

No worries, I have three 50' rolls of HP5+ coming in a matter of weeks now, and I really need to get more metal spools! Maybe I will order some "new" Rera Pan 400!

Thanks so much for the HU!!!
