Is this sensor corrosion

This is a tight crop of the upper left corner. I fear my beloved M9 finally has succumbed to sensor corrosion.

Mine has it...much worse. Google Leica's policy on repairs to see whether or not you qualify for a free sensor replacement and overhaul or upgrade.

I just got my M9 back from Leica NJ. Sensor replacement and overhaul plus shipping plus tax = $1,700.00. Took 3 weeks. The process was very smooth. I got my done because as Leica confirmed, the shutter count is 3917. I did the calculation when I bought it 2.5 years ago from National Camera that it had 1747 on it then. Now I need to use it. Too many cameras M8, Z6, D700, etc.

Well, I've gotten 8 years of use, out of it. I bought it used in October 2011 for $5k. And the shutter count is somewhere around 22,000 (not sure exactly as the firmware upgrade reset the numbering. I was already looking at getting an M10-P, so that's likely the route I'll go. I'd hoped to be able to use both the M9 and the M10-P together.
