What's your favorite C-41 Color Negative Film?

I looked through the listing of Polls and could not find a specific Poll on Color Film, so, here it is. If this has already been done and I just missed it, please let me know and we can trash this one.

With so many to choose from, it seemed only fitting to just list the brand to vote on and add the specifics in your post if you wish to.

For myself, having gotten back into film photography only last year and just now really getting into color stuff, I don't yet have a favorite like I do with Black and White. Right now I'm asking about C-41 Color Negative Film, not the E6 Slide Film.... maybe we can do that Poll later

So, let the voting begin!!

When fluorescent is involved, Fuji Pro.

For skin / portrait, Kodak Portra.

For nature, Kodak Ektar.

For high speed or a bit of pushing, Portra 800.

Cheers,

Juan

Of the films I've tried so far it's going to be very hard to pull me away from Ektar for color work. Its like the film was made with me in mind.

Kodak Ektar - I need to order a box of 4x5 for my next film purchase.

(I do shoot a lot of Fuji Supermarket in 35mm, though)

Fuji Pro 800z is the best colour film I've used so far though under certain lighting it tends towards a bluish tinge but for low light coulr shooting it's brilliant.

I do like Kodak Portra a lot but can't say Ektar has made any impression on me ... not that I've tried it ... just by what I've seen!

The slower Fuji films seem over saturated to me.

Right now I'm using Fuji NPS 160 Pro...it delivers what I need...decent speed for outdoor or indoors with flash...
Years ago Agfa made a series of three films Ultra, Portrait & Optima...
Ultra was rated at 50 ASA and was super saturated...I shot a bunch of it in Hawaii and was very happy with the results...tripod required...

I like Kodak (Ektar 100, 400NC) better than Fuji. Other way around with slides (Velvia, Provia).

It is the best film out there.

Damn, it's so hard to choose just one!

Can I choose one each for 120 and 35mm? Great:

120: Portra 160NC (juuust edges out Ektar 100)
35mm: Fuji Pro 400h (juuust edges out Portra 800)

I may change my mind next week

I like Reala. I also shoot a fair bit of Portra 160 & 400 (both VC and NC), Fuji Pro 400H and sometimes Portra 800. But I often also shoot Kodak Gold 100 or Gold 200 - often with the intention to convert to B&W as I quite like the results.

My favourite colour neg film of all time was Agfa Ultra - just sensational colours, without being ridiculous.

Of the currently available films, I like the 160 Portras, and I also like Reala, although I think that has now been discontinued, sadly.

Right now my favorite is expired Ektar 25 for those sunny summer days in Texas. I could never get on with Ektar 100.

Cheap expired Portra 160, 400 and 800 for everything else.

All I use is Fuji Reala, I don't think it's discontinued. My local camera shop would have told me since that's all I ever get when I go there.

I've been a bit all over the place since Kodak discontinued Kodachrome but I have finally started to settle:

Portraits : Portra NC or Fuji Pro 400H/800Z
General Landscape / Documentary : Ektar 100 or Reala 100

Yet to try Ektar, but of all the ones I've used, my favourite by a country mile is Porta 160VC rated at 100 asa.

My favorite is Reala and went to B and H on Sunday to pick some up for an upcoming trip. They had none and said its been discontinued.
A quick online search confirmed the worse.
I called Adorama and they had plenty, just came back with 10 rolls and the bin was still full.

I voted "Other" because I don't really like any color negative film. I just never got the hang of it, and now that there is digital, I use it for *most* of my color work. So to claim any film as a favorite would be misleading.

But when I DO use C41 color film, I dislike Portra the least. NC for indoors or otherwise under controlled lighting. And VC outdoors in the sun - instant beachball feel to it.

I don't shoot much color, film or digital, but my first experiences with a few rolls of Portra may see me shooting more color. I just loved Portra NC. The VC I found too color saturated for anything but really particular subjects. I am going to abandon Fuji Superia entirely even though Porta costs a lot more. I have found I can make a bit back in processing costs though. I had been taking my better films to a specialty lab. Then I tried Wal Mart, at less than half the cost. I can't tell the difference in processing.
