From memory, it looks like the protective base that shipped with the FM2. Bought mine in 1985 so the memory might be a little faulty at this point!

The 40/2.8 DA lens can cover FF with good IQ and sharpness.

The most modern camera in my collection, but with a personal conection, even being broken. This Pentax SFX was my last film camera before I entered the digital word in 2006 (precisely because it broke)... not returning to shoot film till 2017. And it was my late father's camera before he gave it to me.

New additions:

Topcon which is surprisingly huge and heavy. Small amount of fungus in the lens, but should clean up easily. Camera mostly works, shutter caps at speeds over 1/125 so I need to clean it.

The Exa... I told my self no more Exas! But this one is special...

That's the 211th Exa off the production line! Unfortunately it is missing the 1/250 top speed engraving for the shutter. I suppose it may have been sent back to the factory for service and the original top plate swapped out - which lowers its collector value by something like 75-90% (they only made the first few hundred cameras with the 1/250th top shutter speed, then lowered it to 1/150th - there's no mechanical difference that I'm aware of, just how the shutter was calibrated and how the top plate was engraved).

From a test roll through my Nikon EM, which underexposed every photo by at least a stop. But the Nikon FE shot had more atmosphere as a result. Ilford Delta Pro 400 at 1600, semi-stand with Rodinal 1:33 for one hour.

Apart from that have a Rolleiflex 3.5F, the odd Minolta XD7, Hasselblad 500cm, a Topcon Super D and an Intrepid 5x4 large format (not the half of it but I am clearing them out, honest).

I do all my own black and white developing at home.

Thanks, it's been growing since the mid to early 70's. A bit overwhelming when I go shooting but in a good way. I feel like I have all the bases covered,,,

Thanks, it's a true working collection though lately my S2 & SP have been getting a disproportional amount of my shooting attention. Many of the early F's I purchased back in 72 - 74 when they were still available in mom & pop camera stores (those were the days) along with my SP. I was offered a new black paint SP w/50 f1.1 & hood for $822 (a lot of money back in 72) but I turned it down. Still kicking myself for that one.

I'd parked my black Nikons on the kitchen worktops and the directional light of daybreak just hit them. a7s with Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 35mm f2.4

Latest acquisition: a very nice Spotmatic with a 50mm f/1.4 Super Tak. Wonderful camera and lens. I’d held off on getting one for a long time because I didn’t think I would like stop down metering. The meter I this one does not work but turns out I rather enjoy shooting with a meter less camera.

My first ever Nikon (after being fairly dedicated to Pentax for my SLR fix). Really just an experiment at the moment, to see how the legend feels in the hand

Nikon F, Photomic T and Nikkor-S 50/f1.4
