How many Leica M's do you have?

I'm curious on how many bodies a person has. Sorry if this poll is already out there.

Anyways, I have one Leica M camera

Just the one actual Leica, an M3. If we're counting any M-mount, then it's two, I've an R4A too.

One M2 for 50mm, another M2 for 35mm.

A Hexar RF for 28mm, and a CL for 40 and 21mm.

And a couple of screw mount Leicas.

As many M's as my photographs need: 0. (For street 1 IIIF, 4 Bessas, 1 HexAF and 1 OlyXA...)

But a lot less M's than those I'd gladly use: (1 black M2, 1 black M3, 1 black MP and 1 black MP looking a la carte M7...)

I'm short of $20,000

Cheers,

Juan

OK, let's see:

2 x M3 (one DS, the other DS converted to SS)

M2

2 x M4

2 x M5

M4-2

CL (don't know if this counts or not)

Also, not Leica -- Hexar RF; CLE

Pretty bad, I know.

M3 and M6.
The Hexar RF and the Bessa T work with M lenses.

Bummer. I have an idea though how you could legalize two Ms: buy a Leica CL, say it "is not a real Leica M, it does not count." Keep CL for a short while. Sell CL, say "it was a real Leica after all, it says so on the top plate". Buy second M, "legally" ;-) Rinse and repeat.

Greetings, Ljós

A few.

An M5, an MP3, two M7s, two M9s and five MPs all in regular use. I've got an M2 on the way.

I still don't have one yet . Someday I hope.

If I were to unload all my gear I could easily fund one, it's just a matter of priorities for me right now.

There was a time when I considered that ownership of more than two was obscene...

2 x M5 (black n silver)
2 x M6TTL (ditto)
1 x M3 DS
1 x M4-2

I enjoy them all immensely. In fact, I'm having some serious trouble since my two M5 bodies are with DAG (one dead meter, one film counter broken) along with my emergency drug (my Nikon S2). However, not all is lost: I've gone back to my original Leica bodies and now I'm enjoying my M6TTL cameras.

I'd love to have two: Either two film (one for color and one for monochrome). Or, one M9 and one film M.

At the moment, I only have one film M. Having two is something that's just not in the cards right now.

Chrome and battered M2, black paint non-original M3.

They team up with 2 Nikkormats, 1 newly-acquired Nikon F, a Nikon D3100, a Yashica Mat124G and a Horseman 842 Convertible.

I am perpetually considering an M2. An M4 would be great but... if I can't justify the price of an M2 yet... difficult to consider something even more expensive.

Does the M5 still count as an M if doesn't count as it's "Too big", "too ugly", "not classic", "not traditional", "just a chunk and has little visual appeal", "two strap lugs on one side" and "Ugly brutalist styling"?

If not, then just one M in my inventory.

Had an M5, but my eye aren't cooperating with MF (unless I have a magnified view like my Panny G3 has),
So I sold it and got a Contax G1 with a 45mm f/2.

I have an M3 & M4 chrome and a black M7 & M8.

I enjoy and use them all regularly except for the M3 - it needs a CLA.

I got me a IIIf first; then a M2; then a CL; then a M4-P. Like 'em. Sold the Nikon s2 (it needed work); sold the Bessa R2 (great camera but didn't need it anymore); kept the Contax IIa because the pre-war 50/1.5 Sonnar is just exceptional; and kept the Canon P because even though I never use it anymore I keep meaning to as I like it a lot. Recently switched the IIIf bd for a red dial with self timer. Shall be selling a bunch of stuff to pay back the $$$.

Now here's a question: it seems to me Leica folks, or good rangefinder folks, if they have SLR equipment, go for Olympus or Nikon. I just sold my whole Olympus collection to keep feeding my Nikon head: F, F2 (both plain prism) and F3 HP, plus the magnificent F100. Any other Nikonistas among you all who've been commenting here? If not, what's your favorite SLR?
