Thumbs up

I'm in! I missed the last couple of rounds due to vacation, or just not seeing the thread pop-up in the forum in time. Thanks again for organizing everything Stephan!

Short of buying a vacuum easel, does anyone have a good solution for making borderless prints on the Ilford postcard stock?

They might be flat enough not to need any easel.

Not in my experience...

I'm thinking this might work though.

Hello,

as of now, we have 27 participants. Except for one, everyone should have received a mail from me with a reply to his/her mail. If not, please contact me here over RFF-message.

27... we still have some free slots!

I contact printed mine last time, so didn't have to worry about it -

But makes me wonder if you could just put the paper in a contact printer/under glass to hold it flat. Focus might be a bit tricky and not sure how much resolution would suffer. from the glass..so may depend on the image and what your intent is with it.

Otherwise, some re-positionable double-sided tape might work.

I don't understand how the easel on B&H is supposed to work...anyone used one?

Still looking for some subjects to complete my photo...nothing but rain in the forecast so might be a challenge.

Inkjet printing postcards

Does anybody have any experience using the Avery postcard stock and printing them on an inkjet printer?

33! Still one week to go!

I already reduced my candidates for a postcard to less than 10.000...

No, but isn't that way more expensive than using a printing service?

As a reference, I paid GBP 0.624 (USD 0.82) each for a batch of 50 from MOO last time. I would not call it “cheap”, but I was very happy with the quality and figured that it was less than what one would pay for a standard postcard in the store on flimsy glossy paper.

Which reminds me though, I still need to figure out which picture to send!

When you include ink and paper, probably.

I finally chose Staples. Decent price and I can pick them up the next day.

Last Chance to see...

...all the great postcards in your mailbox resulting from this project!

Tomorrow (German time) I will finalize the list and create the usual mailing-list and send the tentative draft of the address list to all of you.

So last chance today for aspiring postcard-artists! You'll receive many nice pictures from other RFF-members by real postcards, will experience jealous or interested postmen and the agony of selecting JUST ONE PICTURE to send out into the world. Take part, enjoy!

Hello all,

so, the list is closed. This time, we have 36 participants. A good number, I think.

I just sent you a draft of the address list with some notes added. Please check your mail and let me know, if you did not receive the address-list - Also, check your spam-folder, to be sure...

Best regards,
Stephan

Stephen,

I didn't get the email from you. I was sure I sent an email to join the fun this round and that I got an email from you too, but now I can't find either in my gmail account at all. Did I just dream all that and have missed out? :O

Thanks, Keith! Phew! Relieved that I didn't just dream it all.

Stephen, can you resend the final list to me? I've checked and rechecked my email (regular inbox and spam) and it's not there. Much appreciated!

Interesting. Stephan actually sent the email to his own email address ([email protected]) so I had assumed he bcc'd all of us.

Hello all,

I made a mistake! - For the first few people I did not add the email-address to the list and so I got an incomplete list, when I extracted the mails from it yesterday...

My apologies for that!

This also means, that there are a few more people in the project. We have 42 people altogether. Their addresses were in the list yesterday, bit I skipped the emails. I will send the list again in a few minutes. This time hopefully to all of you!

Sorry again!
