I managed to get my postcards to the post office last week. And many thanks to everyone for the great cards that have turned up in New Zealand so far: Kevin, Jeff, Richard, Brian, Keith, Don, Peter, Jamie, David, Jeff, Bill, Frank, Rolfe, Rich, Raid, Zane, Pontus, Godfrey. That makes 18 so far - good stuff!

I'm sitting at 21 (today's mail not yet delivered). So, closing in on the final tally. So far the cards have been more prompt than previous exchanges ... not sure whether that's a good thing or a bad thing: I kind of enjoyed getting surprise cards late, even very late when I had given up on them, as it drew out the whole experience.

I beat you: 22 cards so far

Yeah its sad, the end is near... However, we can do another next spring or so. Many great cards until now. Very different styles as always.

Thanks to all participants for the great pictures.

Has anyone received my postcard, yet? I've send them quite some time ago now, and think, they should start to arrive now.

My partner sent me a photo of a large pile of postcards and mail sitting on my desk at home. I'm looking forward to seeing them when I get home in October...

Stephan, I've received your card yes. Lovely image with pastel color palette and the subject in motion. And it was made with one of the cameras I've always lusted after but never quite gotten around to buying. Envious!

In today's mail I got Largedrink's, Krotenblender's and Big Ursus' cards. All great images. Such a nice project, this card exchange.
Largedrink, you must look me up next time you're in town. We will convene an RFF meetup in your name.

Sounds like a great excuse to get "over the ditch" to Sydney for a holiday Peter, thanks! And likewise if you're in Wellington please get in touch.

Is it possible to just enroll for the next one now? I keep checking back after one round finishes, but by the time the next is announced it's been so long that I miss it.

You can subscribe to this thread and activate mail-notification for it. I always announce the next round in the old thread first.

Sorry, I'm just not able to remember who wants to be in for about half a year...

Sorry for the absence my OS HD died (9/3 - photo files are fine) and I was scheduled to be in Philadelphia from the 9th until the 15th. I had to figure out what I wanted, order just before I left for Philly, and of course there was a delay. I got this new machine yesterday - a humdinger (latest tech - 1tb SSD).

In any case while I was down and during my visit to Philadelphia I received a bunch of cards making my total 23 thus far.

Dancers, water, abandon windmills, sculpture, mailboxes, wildlife (are shopping carts wildlife?)...
I love seeing another person's perspective. While I might not 'like' or 'catch the drift' until later I appreciate them all.

I did noticed they're just about spit even between B&W vs color.

At top right of the thread page (right under the page 1, 2, 3, 4, ... links) there is a drop down button for "Thread Tools". You can subscribe to the thread there. You will be able to choose whether you want instant email notifications, daily notifications, or no notifications.

After receiving a couple of nice cards this round printed on the Ilford postcard stock, I've vowed to go completely analog for the next round as well.

My question is, how to do a borderless print on that stock without investing in a vacuum easel? Easy to do them with white borders, but borderless?

Last week, I got a great picture of an enormous, red & black Johnny Cash from Randy T. That makes the total of the cards I've received 23.

Should I expect any more?

I think, I have a little more than 23, but we had about 30 people in this round... So yes, expect more.

Today I received a very nice card from Seakayaker of an interesting looking fountain, I think, on an ivy covered wall, with a kind personalized note too. Thank you.

Now that's interesting. Looking at Intheviewfinder's collection, and I know one of his is a "+1", I am missing the bird picture top, second from right, and the orange portrait, second column from right, third down.
On the other hand I have one not shown, which is Mid-August Bolton Fair from Intheviewfinder himself.

Would you believe, I just checked my mailbox and there it was: Randolph45's card of the Johnny Cash mural in Sacramento (orange portrait alluded to above). Thank you, Randy.

No orange bear in Oregon yet. So there's one I'm missing.

I'm up to 25 cards excluding my own. Seems like we had more than 25 participants this round.....more coming???

I remember one round with > 40 participants. That was quite a collection. Of course, that was a lot of stamps too

I arrived home from my six weeks traveling last evening—My gosh, what a great trip that was!

Welcoming me on my desk ... next to the piles of mail and packages to process!... I found 24 RFF Postcard #10 delights to view and enjoy, including my own. I've only just counted them so far: I'm saving the fun of looking through them for a little bit as I clean up the mess here and get a moment to relax and enjoy them.

Great stuff everyone!

"Ghostbuster's Ride" arrived yesterday with a fab commemorative stamp. Getting close to the end of this round? I have 27 including my own, looks like we had 30 addresses this time.

Best regards to all!
