Rangefinder calibration: some question

I have a little question about the calibration of a rangefinder.

I have a FED and i have found the two screw for horizontal and vertical calibration.

I set the camera to infinity and with the screw i have some a perfect calibration.

Now the problem is simple, on the object (a jupiter) i have a meter scale, but i have see that for example i set 2 meter, there is a discrepance with the real distance.

- i focus a flower, rangefinder focus ok
- with a meter i see that the distance is 2 meter
- the scale on the jupiter indicate 1,5 meter

I riso that my photo are not perfectly focused or there is online a discrepance that non cause problem? Is only importante that rangefinder is correctly calybrated?

To adjust the range finder at close distance you rotate the (on most FSU cameras) pear or wedge shaped range finder follower, but before you do that you will want to verify that the distance scale is accurate, probably using a ground glass on the film rails. (If you have a FED (1) this will be a problem as the back is not removable.) The process is iterative so you will need to revisit the infinity adjustment too.

Do you have some guide for the FED?

I have tried to revision the rangefinder, and to infinite is ok, but near to 1 meter there is a discrepance:

- 1 meter (real) = 1,2 meter on the jupiter

This is not a big difference, but if possible i want correct this problem
