Lost/Stolen Leica M3 SN: 1077493

I recently acquired a Leica M3 SN: 1077493 with the original Leica seal intact. I shipped it via USPS Priority from NY to MA for a CLA, but it never got to it's destination. It was last scanned in Jersey City, NJ on March 29th, 2014
I'm thinking I will never see it again.

So if you come across this camera, I would greatly appreciate your help. SN1077493

Thanks.

Mike, that is devastating. I will assume it was on its way to Youxin.

Hope this is a mixup that can be resolved. Once a USPS package sent to me got 'lost' at a post office here in Philly, and I eventually tracked it down.

It's still a little early. My guess is they will find it. But I can understand your concern.

I have had packages go to the wrong city by mistake of the post office and be in limbo until it was "found". I went back to the post office I sent it from gave them the tracking number and they located it. Hope it turns up and if the worst happens and it does not hope you had it insured.

Make an eBay search of the serial number and follow the search, might pop up sometime if you don't get it back.

Yes, don't lose hope yet. But I hope you did insure it -- for tracking purposes as well as for protection.

fedex just caught some dude stealing packages with jewelry and taking them to the local pawn shop

funny thing is, they are a vital part of our economy --- this goes on much more often than fedex will admit
