I have 3 of them and even though they don't have some of the features I like on a camera I still really dig em'. When the collection is finally thinned they will remain.......

Love the Lens and the 6x7 format enough to combine the two!

That's one hell of a camera. I sold the EOS 1RS and kept this one. Dead quiet and always spot on when it comes to AF and metering. Has given me some of my best pictures.

Agreed, a good camera. Mine still works and the batteries remain available. The eye-controlled focus was further refined in the EOS 3 but then abandoned. Apparently, eyeglasses, contact lenses, and even lens implants would confuse the system. Cheers, Peter

Pentax LX and MX with a some of Pentax's tastier glass.

Interestingly, this whole kit (arguably two of Pentax's best SLR's and best manual lenses) cost less than my M2. 'Value' is an odd thing...

An Ihagee Exakta Varex VX, made between 1951 and 1956 in East Germany. It's the exact (pun intended) type of camera used by James Steward in "Rear Window" (1956), by Alfred Hichcock. The lens is a Carl Zeiss Flektogon f2.8 35mm made in the 60's.

Very nice. Good to see another Exakta owner. Here is one of several Exaktas I have, a VX IIa.

I have too many SLRs to list, but number 103 is a new-to-me Konica Autoreflex T3 - a great trap-needle SLR.

Akiva—I’m amazed someone would just bin a Contax set. Do people not know how coveted those are on eBay? The resell value might be a fraction of original price, but definitely worth trying to get something for. Oh well, your gain. I think the only gear I’ve outright thrown in the trash were a couple of 1980s kit lenses that were completely jammed up.

Anyway. I see I’m not the only GX user out here.

So far loving it; shot almost 10 rolls of D100 and a couple of Provia through of soon-to-be-demolished buildings. Got some PanF and Foma 100 on deck for some landscapes and portraits, respectively.

I’d eventually like to get a second back, but I did spend enough on parts to get my Bronica running last month. Parts for that are getting scarce and expensive.

A Pentacon FM made in the GDR c.1958-1961. Sadly it's not working properly, but was very cheap.

Such a handsome beastie. I owned one years ago, bought new from Grays and traded in for a new D70 some years later. Too heavy for my tired old paws now, but what a capable monster it is!

Travel kit...

Just picked up this 180 Elmar R for a song (for Leica prices)! Its super light weight and very compact for its focal length. Bundled with the R6.2, 28mm Elmarit R, 50mm Summicron, makes a nice kit, all using E55 filters.

A surprisingly good camera. Now that my Pentax ME has started experiencing an erratic lightleak problem, the Chinon is my main PK-mount camera.

Rheinmetall Exa with Schneider Xenon 1.9/50.
Got the Xenon for next to nothing, bizarrely, on ebay, only two bidders and little back and forth. I placed my last second snipe bid expecting to see the price rise suddenly - and nothing. Finished at under $40. Ridiculous luck, or proof of how bad photos can spoil an auction.

B&L 159.1mm F2 Super Cinephor on Maki Std by Nokton48, on Flickr

In bright key sun I can shoot J Lane EI 2 glass negs, at 1/125, which is the top speed of Makiflex Standard. Here a 9x12cm glass plate is loaded, this shoots a 9x9cm onto 9x12cm material. These happen to be Voigtlander plate holders, I have many kinds. Camera mounted and balanced on Manfrotto Monopod, ready to shoot. It's a GOOD workout to carry this beast around. Monopod a necessity I think as I get older. Bokeh and DOF/"look" is amazing. This is a theatrical projection commercial 35mm and 70mm commercial motion picture type. This lens will focus out to about 25 feet, enough for my uses. Intend to do some portraits soon.

Maki to Pecoflex Adapter New Bag Bellows by Nokton48, on Flickr

Front Swings and Tilits with the Automatic Makiflex. Using the Pecoflex to Makiflex Adapter and the Bag Bellows I hacked to fit the adapter. Shown with 180mm F5.6 Componon lens. Dirt cheap and great lens for shooting. About as good as a Symmar

A really neat and small AF SLR from 1997.

The pack on the bottom is the Pentax FG Battery pack that allows you to use 4AA batteries.

Surprisingly small and quiet with a range of useful features like AE lock and DOF preview. 3 meter modes 2 AF modes Aperture Priority and Program Auto...

Program Auto as well as Focus Confirmation works with Pentax-A lenses which is nice.
