I wonder how many RFF members own and or use a Leica M2, is there a roll call list somewhere, if not mine is as follows:

M2-R, 1966 M2 and a beater button rewind circa 1958 that DAG rebuilt out of several M2's I rescued from a newspaper pool locker.

I still have a 1960 model that I've had for 22 years. I think I've had 4 total starting with two in 1968.

Hmm, at the latest count - I have 15 M2's. I do like them, evidently. Most of them are 0ver 1 000 000 serial number range. They all work and gets used in a "rotating" fashion just to be kept going. A couple are shedding vulcanite at the moment - so need refurbishing, but black gaffer tape works as a substitute for now.

Mine is also a button rewind from 1958, though I bought it used ten years later. So I've had it for 48 years, my only film Leica.

The prettiest camera Leica never made. M2 style and M4 convenience.

Yes a button re-wind. Made in 1959 and purchased from Helen Hill in 2010. Run it regularly and just shot a role of Portra at the Jersey shore - Cape May.
