I fed my M6 film. Stuck indoors yet again today but have a trip to the mountains planned tomorrow.

well, I did this late last night so I hope it still counts.

I filled missing tick marks and "5" of "25" on my M2-R's frame counter disk.

And walked around my neighborhood fetching coffee with the M2-R and Summaron 35/2.8.

It's a beautiful sunny day here in Yokohama so we're heading out for the day soon. But my Leica Ms are staying in the dry cabinet, and I'm taking my Zeiss Nikon instead

No Leica M today, only a Leica I model A from 1930.

Leica I model A, Elmar 50mm f/3.5, Tmax400.

I downloaded image files from the M9 to the computer. The camera itself was not used.

I made a print from this MM file:

With fog pictures, it's hard (or impossible) to make the reflected light of a print glow like the transmitted light of a monitor.

If it's a nice cloudy day, I'll take the camera for a hike tomorrow.

Kirk

(Erik, please reassure me about what that fellow is doing.)

Jon, is that a regular Contax-mount lens, or were some made specifically to focus on Nikon?

Played with it at focusing and shooting (a black-painted M2) and decided to take it tomorrow, Sat June 20th, to an activity in the local library. It's for kids, so I'll photograph my son.

It's amazing the quality the early Elmars were capable of.

Kirk, it's just a regular Contax mount lens but it seems to focus just fine on this particular S2. I've shot a few close up wide open pics and don't see any back focus in the photos at all (pics here). The slowish max. aperture no doubt helps to cover any back focus if it is there. I've also used it on a Zeiss Ikon with Amedeo adapter made from a Nikon focus helicoid and it focused ok on that setup as well (pics here).

I took my collapsible Summicron 50 in LTM off my M3, put my modern Elmar-M 50 on and put it in the bag (with two spare rolls of Tri-X) I'm taking with me tomorrow. That's along with my M240, M-Hexanon 28mm and 35mm lenses (with hoods) and a Canon 50mm/f1.4 in LTM (also with hat). They're in a bag with my laptop plus the external hard drive with my recent-ish Lightroom library. I'm going to a Lightroom-based post-processing course my father wants to attend, for which we've been told we need not bring cameras nor computers. So, of course, I'm bringing both. I'll probably need none of the above, but still...

Meanwhile, I went out today with my X Pro-1 plus 18-55OIS lens - and even took a few remarkably boring photos of, at best, only local interest.

...Mike

One of my M bodies is always in the bag together with either the GR V or one of the Merrills.

For the last month or to its been an M2 with a CV21/4 loaded with TriX.

I haven`t used it today.

Indeed, but not nearly as amazing as what that deckhand is capable of!

Still insufferably hot here. A day of rest for the M's I think.

Ahhhhh, the smell of fixer early in the morning..,

and today a bonus using a Hewes steel reel. Wow! My M6 is smiling because when film is developed I can go shoot more. I swear it is similar to our dog wanting to go outside and run around the yard...

I meant the camera, not me...lol!

Formatted a few SD cards after checking that the contents had earlier been copied over to the computer. Resolved not to delay doing this once the pics are secure..

Well, it arrived. So what did I do with my new M today? Since I had no acceptable film (it came with some Lomography films, but I prefer Ektar 100, but have only 120 film in the fridge), I couldn't take pictures with it. So I took pictures of it...

Isn't it a beauty?

Ah, yes, and I gave it one of my self made soft leather straps.

I am waiting to get my M3 back from Sherry, it jammed a few weeks ago .

So, I did nothing with it! But I do have my first MF camers to try out.
