I tried really hard to get pin sharp focus on this one but it was really, really dark and I couldn't get it done before my cat jumped off the fence. That is partially a streetlight and dawn sunrise in the background.

Not sure how, but I completely missed focus on this one, perhaps I bumped the focus ring at the last second.

Shot with a 50mm f1.2 Canon lens on an NEX 5. The first time it was an accident. I quickly realised I liked the effect so much I tried a few more shots.

This one shot with a Leica M8. It was a reflection in a window and also had lots of motion blur but I deliberately accentuated it in post processing.

Shutter capping on my M2..not motion blur but still 'accident'

The M2 is okay now, don't really like having shots ruined

Great idea for a thread. I'm a blur fan. It's the pictorialist in me.

Here's one taken with 50'Cron DR with Sony NEX camera. There simply wasn't enough available light... Taken on a camping trip.

I took this on an NEX-5--I hope it's okay to share it in this thread. This was the first of several shots taken in succession because I wasn't pleased with the motorcycle that shot across the frame in a blur, but after reviewing it I actually like it.

I forgot I had a slow shutter speed selected, and ended up with this while trying to get a picture of this manic dog.
