I lusted after one but was a bit disappointed to be honest. They don't feel as delicate and fine as a IIIf in the hands and lack the jewel like quality of the smaller screwmount in my opinion.

So ... why does the fiteeen year old Epson RD1 capture colours so well?

Reds in particular seem to be a struggle for some sensors. My D700 had issues when it still worked, I have a D4 that isn't much better and my 240 isn't really happy with reds either in my opinion....

I've never found 28mm to be a versatile focal length in the way 35 is. That's just my feelings but it would stop me wanting to own a Q (aside from the price) and it was why I never stuck with my GR1V...
