You could buy a drill bit of the correct size to drill the screw out, but in left-handed orientation. That would act similar to a 'screw extractor' and if it doesn't jar it loose, you're on your way...

I have the 21 Elmarit, but it is much 'flatter' of an image with infrared. As are the 35 & 50 Summicrons. There is something about the older Summaron that is magic with IR
