I'm not sure if this latest Leica is a good idea

On the upside it is the most affordable one. $12.95. But it may give my dogs a taste for my other cameras...

(yes it is a chew toy)

But... It has a rewind knob so it is a Film chew toy!

That's a soft focus lens, right?

An Olympus OM, a Leica M, and a Panda Bear had a baby.

I’ll wait for the Lenny Kravitz pre-chewed edition.

You'll save on not needing steel-capped boots. Like so many modern devices, it's really the software.

I handled one in the shop. It felt funny.

Looks like a good training toy to teach your dogs to "fetch" any Leica they see on the street

Unlike when my dog's leash got caught up in the strap of my M3 and ripped the camera out of my hands as he chased a squirrel down the street, it looks like this one can bounce along the pavement for quite a ways before much damage is done.

Best,
-Tim

That's good to know! So we won't have to send it away for 18 months for a sensor replacement under warranty.

Can your chew toy last 50+ years with the occasional CLA in between?

Mlehrman 10-10-2019 08:13

Looks good to me. I really can't see any negatives.
