I woke up last night and could not go to sleep again so my mind started flying all over the place and I came up with a project.

Ive never been a fan of "picture a day for a year" or something similar but I wanna give it a try myself.

Next year is going to be big for me, moving with my family across the country, back in school and hopefully the family will get bigger ( thats the plan at least :))

So Im gonna use my LOMO LCA to take one picture a day and get it printed in a book. If it looks good I might even have an expedition.

I was thinking about using Kodak EKTAR but I live in Iceland and we have very dark days from okt-march so a 400 ISO film should be better.

What color film would you use and why?

I like Fuji Pro 400H because it's fairly well balanced, which is good if you can't anticipate the scene. But why limit yourself to color?

If one-film-only and color-only were mandatory, I would use Portra400VC to get good color even on low/flat light, and to have great skins.

But you might have problems shooting it under direct sun (1/2000 f/11-f/16...) On my cameras I use ISO400 film on direct sun with ND8 filters, but I have never seen your camera and know nothing about its settings or lenses...

You need C-41, right?
For color, I think something with a little grain to it might be just the thing to give your color shots some grit: Kodak Ultra Max 400 or Ferrania 400.
For C-41 black and white, you might go BW400CN or Ilford XP2. But these are lovely, smooth-grained films whose tonal range might be lost in the Lomo oevre ...
