Found this Oly at a yard sale this weekend for $5.
It was so dirty I almost passed on it but the shutter
worked so I took it home and it cleaned up nicely
and everything works.

McKeown's calls it a 35-K though it says only
"Olympus 35" on top. It also has the Sears Tower
logo.

The lens is an "almost-wide" 40/3.5 D. Zuiko. The
focus is at the front of the lens and the aperture
dial turns with it (odd). The rangefinder works well
even in dim light.

Should be interesting. It's a 4-element lens, so maybe a Tessar type formula. Shoot & show!

& Orphan camera.com has a copy of the 1959 Sears Photo Catalog which shows the Oly. 35k aka Sears 56. http://www.butkus.org/chinon/booklet/sears_catalog_1959/sears_catalog_1959.htm

That's a nice little camera. I'll bet you get some good photos with it.
