Hey,
I have a 35rd, but this little beauty is lying in the corner most of the time, because it's viewfinder is quite matt and somehow bluish (is that normal?).
I already made such a cleaning on an old revue 400se, but that didn't help too much and actually I don't know whether their construction is compareable.
Is anybody experienced in cleaning the 35rd and is able to hand out some tricks or even an instruction or something like that? Maybe one can even exchange the viewfinder's glasses so that you get some sort of a "pimped 35rd". That would be kinda cool... :D
Greets,
Christian

What brand camera is that? Canon? Konica? Minolta? Olympus?

Yep, its doable.Olympus 35RC disassembly (http://rick_oleson.tripod.com/index-134.html).
Pay attention to the LH thread on the self-timer lever and be careful with the wire connecting the flash to the connections on the top cover. Also, do not clean the RF mirror and the beam splitter with anything but a soft brush, followed by compressed air.

Hmmm. Thanks for answering. Maybe I should really pay a pro to do the cleaning. It would be a pity if I damaged the camera.
Andrew: Christian's camera is an RD, not the RC. I think they're very similar, though.
But I do think a professional CLA is in order. The RD is a high value camera due to its relative scarcity (as well as the lens), so getting it done professionally would be a good idea.
A professional cleaning and adjustment of the meter to accept silver oxides is always the best way to go.

Have you guys some adresses where I could send my camera to? Okay, I live in Germany, so maybe shipping is quite high...
How would the cleaning cost anyway? (circa)

I don't know about Europe, but US/Canadian pricing seems to be $80-100 plus shipping.

You could try Michael Spencer in the UK. He charges about £30 plus the return postal cost for a CLA.
