View Full Version : Voshod anyone?

Does anyone have any experience with the Voshod camera? I like its design and if it's really as small as I think it is, it could make a nice carry-everywhere camera. But how is the handling, the lens, etc?

Also known as Voskhod? Haven't had any experience with it, but Alfred's camera page at http://cameras.alfredklomp.com/voskhod/
has quite an article about it, concluding with
"All in all, the Voskhod is a beautiful, special and technically advanced camera that, although not a good user, deserves a prominent place in the Soviet camera hall of fame. A Voskhod in a good state is not only a very nice camera to look at, but also almost a piece of history. Because it's so underrated, it's definately worth the price it sells for today."

From Alfred's photos, it looks like the "Voshod" is larger than a Zorki-4. That is not very small.

But it looks FAB! :)

Too bad the only one on offer on eBay has BID price of 85 euro; too dear for me. But I have more time than money so I'll patiently wait until a cheaper offer appears over the horizon. And so the waiting begins....
