more, less or are we 'just right'?

Wait, lets start a poll to see what people think.

i have a poll question!!

but first some background info...i can go into a poll and edit it...

now the question...would it be wrong to 'edit' the poll so that the canon p wins...by like a bazillion votes?

do you think anyone would be suspenders?

It creepy that when you log in and look at the lastest listings 10 are polls. And I love doing polls but WOW!!

I'm sorry..I've kicked off six polls in two days :(

don't worry about it, Rich.. I'm just being my usual sarcastic self.. it wasn't directed at you :)

Rich, that is just Brett. He's good people though, so don't get worried about it. What gives me a laugh is that all these really really really old polls have suddenly started getting votes again! It's wild to see some of these pop up out of the past.

And I'll add a serious "Thank you" for the whole beauty pagent. A great idea and a boatload of work. I've been enjoying it tremendously.

I think there is a problem with your spreadsheets, only one of the cameras I voted for is winning!

We should've had one of sponsors put up a camera and some gear, and then we could've devised some kind of pool (like a Super Bowl pool), or parlay card. The winner would get the camera and the runner-ups would get lesser, but still cool, gear.

should've, could've, would've

I'm betting the Canon P will be in the top 3 or 5 vote-getters, maybe even #1.

:)

The Canon P is right now the leader in Group F.

Votes on leading cameras per group so far is:

Group A: Leica M3, 78 votes (out of 174)
Group B: Leica IIIf, 40 votes (out of 172)
Group C: Leica MP. 38 votes (out of 119)
Group D: Leica M2, 25 votes (out of 112)
Group E: Leica M6, 21 votes (out of 73)
Group F: Canon P, 16 votes (out of 65)

(* Of course the above is also a direct result of how 'tough' or 'even' the group is).

So good going to Canon P who is so far the only non-Leica camera in the lead in ANY of the groups!!

Having said that..there is still some time to go until the groups starts closing.

Without a Contax G there is no contest, so may the least ugly camera win :)

You'll find the Contax G2 in Group F :)

Rich--the polls are neat and the M3 will win---I've been doing exit polling! :-)

that being the case, I'd be glad to trade my beauty pageant-winning M3 for an ugly MP

I just can't see #4 winning.

Brett has said far more idiotic things.

Maybe we could start a poll on which statement is Brett's most idiotic statement.

Should be easy.

Find all Posts by Brett.

Make into a Poll.

You are right! I noticed the same thing. No, wait, none of them I voted for are winning. What's up Rich? ;)

You guys are worried about which ones you voted for are winning?

Worry if you want to buy all of the ones that are winning.

Why is this thread remaining at the top of the active threads page when, before me with this post, it had not been active compared to many other threads that have come and dropped lower on the page?

Edit: Good, now it's moving down as it should.

Yup, guilty. Photo courtesy MelanieC from this forum though. :)

Melanie seems to know her way around a camera pretty well.. and does a great job of metering

Rich Silfver
02-24-2006, 16:57
She does - and will be the first one to admit that she doesn't do a whole lot of metering - at all :) This photo was taken in - as you can see - pretty harsh light outside a coffee shop here in San Francisco so pretty hard to get the exposure right. Looks good though. The exposure. Not the subject :)

This thread is doing it too. It seems to be jumping back to the top without being added to. Anyone else notice this or is this my brain chemistry problem?

...more p.t - i mean polls - drill sergeant...more polls drill sergeant!!!!!

...a day without a poll is like a day without __________

...according to the f.d.a. polls are low in trans-fats, low in triglycerides, contribute to lower blood sugar numbers, may reduce l.d.h & h.d.h, promote moderate resting heart rate, reduce (not always) blood pressure and are a good source of fiber and bla, bla, bla. side effects may cause .....

...just keep 'em coming.

I think you're right, Brett. I noticed this with the 'Beauty Contest' polls. They kept jumping to the top of the lists and there were no new posts. I felt like a dog chasing its tail, or Homer Simpson bumping into a wall repeatedly.

Wonderful. 5,000 votes from about 4,000 members!

Even Jeb Bush couldn't do better than this.
