I saw it on eBay. There's a frame line illuminator device made to slide into the accessory shoe. A light source flips down over the illuminator window. The seller says DAG makes it. I don't know if it's a one-off or in production. Could be just the thing for low-light shooters.

Don is selling it, but I'm not sure he made it. He sells a lot of items that he's picked up in his years of servicing cameras.

Not for low light, but for darkness. It is easy to check by yourself at night.
Somewhere where you could barely see something, more like guessing than seeing.
This is then you won't see frame lines.

Intriguing. Also good to see no framelines, say for 28 on M2 or 40 on M3.

Actually could be useful on bright days when you don't actually need it!
