I'm looking forward to a $1000 Leica selfie stick.
Can't wait for the pencil sharpener myself...
I 'll wait until it's tested by dpreview
Makes Leica more relevant than ever...
This will be entertaining thread...leaving for a bit to heat up popcorn popper.

I wonder how long it will take before someone paints the lettering black for it so be more "street style".

I got an email about that from Leica the other day, selling all kinds of crap that they stuck a 0.95 logo on. I was like, "Are you out of your F*#king Minds." I could never afford a Noctilux, which I would have some use for. I certainly ain't gonna pay premium prices for garbage that I have no use for, just cause it's got their stupid logo on it.
I was appalled.
But I guess that's what Leica is coming to these days.
End of rant.

I wonder if the leads for the pencil will have 0.95 down the middle like a stick of seaside rock...

Unique opportunity for Jupiter-8 gear!
To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Jupiter-8 50mm F2 rangefinder lens, the Arsat factory is releasing a limited edition keychain in the style of a Jupiter-8 lens. Only 8 roubles!
Act quickly -- because in Russia, camera doesn't find range ... range finds you!

Oh dear. I fear I'd buy one. This may lead to a lot of perfectly good (well, at least no worse than average) Jupiter-8s being destroyed to be converted to key rings.
Cheers,
R.

Don't worry Roger, there are millions of Jupiter-8's floating around out there...

But the Hasselblad one will cost even more and have a log attached.

I actually have a leica mont blanc pen --- they can suck it if they think this overpriced merch makes them a better camera company --- time to sell my collection of leica watches...

Rumour has it that soon, for those who can't afford the 0.95 range, Leica will release a special summarit '2.5' range in association with Bic biros.
Xmas just around the corner!
Be still my beating heart! :p
It is scary to think that there is someone, somewhere going to spend 110GBP on a steel (I think ?) keyring.
That's more than I spent on the last lens I bought

The Wall Street Journal reported that Leica has filed for the intellectual property rights for the decimel "0.95". Make sure you tell your kids to file for an exception with their lawyer before their next math exam.

How can they have intellectual property rights for a decimal? Particularly one that Canon achieved in this context in 1961?
No but seriously, how long does it take to get a CLA for the lighter?

I've got one of those fountain pens but I've taped over the logo in case someone wants to steal it.
(just in case anyone thought I was serious, I actually use a £15 Lamy fountain)

I have been painting lettering feet (numbers) black on manual lenses since the 70ies on Nikon lenses and I do the same on Leica lenses to this day (I hate feet!). I know it is not the same what you referring to, but just my 2c.
I have one of these thingies :
Got to save somewhere :D

Certainly I agree this is a silly idea from Leica, but not necessarily those items are overpriced.
A normal S.T. Dupont lighter (without the 0.95 logo) goes easily for more than 1K USD, those are already expensive.
Can't comment about standard prices for the other items, I mean, same maker but without the logo. Probably same situation.
my 100% nylon Lubitel 166B pyjammers seem cheap at half the price now

Hi,
When are they going to start giving away freebies, to their regular users?
Obviously the wearers and carriers will go for this stuff but I reckon we deserve something...

Will a Leica-licensed scrimshaw artist be made available to place a red dot on the key ring? suitably recompensed of course.

My kids are grown up and didn't like math anyway, they'll be glad to hear. Probably my grandson as well.

Admittedly I have the 0.95 Noctilux travel mug - but it was given to me, so does that count?
Isn't capitalism a wonderful thing?
