View Full Version : Final Results: Point & Shoot Challenge Spring 2013
Well it was an excellent challenge and I was amazed by many of the submissions, great work everyone! It was definitely fun to break out some of the P&Ss for a little work and to focus solely on composition.
Thanks to all those who took part and who voted! If you'd like to see all the submitted entries once again, click here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/

Count me in!!!!
I'm honored. There were some very fine pictures in this little contest. I had great fun participating and look forward to the next contest.
The camera I used was borrowed so while shooting I bought three P&S for myself. I think especially my new XA2 and GR1s will follow me around for a long time. This was really great fun.
I've never before participated in a challenge on RFF, was fun to see everyone's work! I'd love to do the disposable challenge!
I'd like to know which (if any) submitted photos were from APS format cameras.
Oh, and yes a "disposable" challenge would be great. NASCAR style.

NASCAR style? what's that? I guess I should know living down the road from RCR Racing but I don't:D
I believe my three were the only ones shot with APS (Leica C11). I believe all 3 were with 100ISO Nexia if I'm not mistaken.

congrats to the winners :) well deserved. After shooting with my dad's P&S i can't wait to come back to RF. I rather prefer fixed focus disposable! if there is a disposable one i will join.
Thanks Greg! Both the Leica C11 and Contax Tix are nice little APS cameras. The C11 is a true P&S, the Tix is not.
It was fun shooting the C11, I was surprised how much I enjoyed using it. Having to send the film all the way to Dwayne's wasn't quite as enjoyable :)
Those are some really good shots Kent.

I know what The People Want. And what Kent is willing to MC.
I think we can still get Ilford HP5 disposables here. I shot one for fun, and it was great, considering. If there's a competition, I just hope there aren't any European disposables with plastic Sonnars in them....

Agreed. Makes one think if gear acquisition syndrome is just a self-made barrier.
Disposable sounds like a fun idea ;]

Disposable cameras cost more than many old point and shoots.
There are some disposables for $6-7 on amazon, not too bad.

Come on, Kent... where's the 'class'? Only disposables with Disney characters on the box should be allowed!

That might earn bonus points Jamie!
