There seems to be some debate about the correct development times for the latest version of Tr-X in HC110. Is there any up-to-date information on this? And, for that matter, on HP5 in the same developer.

This is what works for me (for whatever that's worth). Now that I'm back home (long employment-related absence) I'll have to start doing it again.
Tri-X shot at box speed.
HC-110 dilution E at 20 degrees Celsius for 8 minutes, agitating continuously for the first 30 seconds (inversion then rotation, repeated as needed) then for 10 seconds at each minute mark from 1-7; stop by flushing with tap water; fix in Ilford Rapid Fixer 1:9 (also at 20 degrees) for 5 minutes with agitation each minute; flush with tap water then final rinse in distilled water then leave to dry.

The Covington page shows time for old and new TriX and widely thought of as the go to source for all things HC110.

Thanks to those who have replied, as you have been far more helpful than I could have been. All I can manage is a two-word answer. Dunno and sorry.

Lots of good advice here, I have used HC-110h for years with TriX. Now that it is the 'new' TriX, I do 11:45 minutes. I also sometimes do Ansel's compensating development.
And I don,t agitate very much.

For the last 7 years I have used HC110 almost exclusively for trix. I give the film six and a half minutes in dilution b at 20 degrees C for normal development at EI400. I agitate for one minute starting when I pour it in, and 5 sec. every 30 seconds after that.

I shoot Tri-X rated at 320, soup it in HC-110 B for 6:30 at 20C. Four swirls or inversions pr minute. I use this for 120 as well as 135.
