SOLD! ($475.00) $12.65 Excellent
Description:

Here is a great example of the Fuji GS645 folder with tack sharp 75mm lens. The camera is cosmetically excellent, a few marks here and there to show it was used but still very presentable. I purchased it several years ago, and then started the process of getting it back to full working order. I sent it to Frank Marshman of Camera Wiz about two years ago and he rebuilt the release cable and did his fix to make it stronger than original. He also replaced the bellows, adjusted the rangefinder and meter. When I got it back the first roll was a disaster, as it appeared the film was not advancing. I also noted the meter was not accurate.
I then purchased new meter board and a new transport mechanism, and sent the camera off again, this time to CSC in Atlanta. Frank was great but that was a nine month repair, and I wanted it before retirement. So off it went to CSC who did a general CLA and replaced the meter board and the film transport mechanism. Now everything works as it should, the meter is accurate, the rangefinder is bright and accurate, the advance is smooth, and the camera is off course light tight.
Now I know there are a lot of these around on Ebay for 200 to 300, but they will all need these repairs before long, if they don't already. The repairs alone cost me just about 500.00. To make a long story short, the reasonable price of $550 is fair and a bargain if you think about it. Compared to the new Fuji folder it is an outright steal! Will also consider a trade for a Leica R (5 and above with lens, smaller than 90mm. Trades only with well established members. l lowered the price to 475 net to me in hopes of purchasing something on here. If that object of desire sells, will revert back to original 550.00 price. Thanks.

Second Matt's comments - if you see one that has recently been rebuilt, jump on it. The ones on Ebay almost all have one foot in the parts bin.

Last time I talked to my Fuji repair man he told me his stock of parts was all but gone.

Please buy this one as I am sorely tempted.

Frank Marshman did three of these for me, plus a number of 690 models.

He did essentially what you described on all three. Loved them until I started using the 645Zi and the big "Texas Leica" rangefinders.
