The high-performance Leica D-LUX 3 Digital Camera incorporates a DC Vario-Elmarit lens with a focal length from 28 to 112mm, allowing creative scope in picture composition from wide-angle through to the telephoto range; while the 10 Megapixel resolution ensures superb image detail. The integral picture stabilizer gives the user additional protection against camera shake in all photography situations, even under difficult lighting conditions. A total of three picture formats (16:9, 3:2 and 4:3) in different resolutions are available, and the 2.8" LCD display provides full coverage for a picture to be displayed in 16:9 format. The image signal processor has also been improved in comparison to its predecessor model, delivering even faster image processing within the camera. This allows the D-LUX 3 to be used quickly, reliably and spontaneously at any moment.

4x Wide Angle Zoom Lens
The high-quality Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens with 4x optical zoom is composed of lens elements made of complex optical glass and it features an ideal range of focal lengths that extends from 28mm - 112 mm (35mm equivalent). That enables you to cover practically everything from the wide-angle to the telephoto range.

Optical Image Stabilizer
The legendary Leica image quality is enhanced even further with the optical image stabilizer (O.I.S.) that effectively compensates for camera shake to ensure razor-sharp pictures at all times, even in the telephoto range, in low light conditions and when you take quick snapshots.

Widescreen Image Format
The 16:9 picture format with the full resolution of over 10 megapixels produces fantastic images for frame-filling viewing on HDTV equipment. The more traditional 4:3 and 3:2 formats are also selectable.

Records RAW File Format
The D-LUX 3 records images as common JPEG files, or in a professional RAW format - which is rarely offered in this class of camera - to ensure optimum image quality for further processing to obtain professional photographic results.

Automatic and Manual Functions
The Manual setting options give you full freedom when creating your own pictures. But motif programs and automatic functions for every application also provide you with optimum picture results quickly and easily. Alone 16 scene modes are selectable.

The brilliant 2.8" display with 207,000 pixels renders a brilliant image for sure evaluation of your composition and reproduction, and also has the aspect ratio 16:9 for frame-filling presentation.

Print Directly to any PictBridge Capable Printer without a computer - the on camera image editing features assure that you be able to make just the right picture easily and quickly.
