Description:

Hello All,
Here is a late-model (1996) German made black Leica M6 Classic (Non-TTL). I will also be including the M-Grip.
I purchased this camera as a back-up, but never got around to using it. The body is in very good shape, with no dents or dings. Just some scuffs and scratches here and there. Still has the plastic on the bottom of the camera.
I am selling it with the idea that it will probably need a CLA (cleaning, lube, and adjustment.) The slow shutter speeds are accurate, but the higher shutter speeds (1/500th, 1/1000th) may be a little slow. It has a brand new shutter speed dial. The focus is accurate, and the viewfinder is bright and clear. Couple of minor quirks: the film counter works and resets, but not always to zero, and the preview selector doesn't always seem to engage. The meter is working and is accurate.
It may very easily be put in good working order for cheaper than a CLA, but I want to make sure the buyer knows that it may need some work. The shutter and curtains are in good shape. It is being sold "As-IS."
If the buyers wants, I can probably find a camera strap to include as well!
Price: $900.00 Shipped in the US, International More
Please let me know should you have any questions.
Also for sale is a 50mm F2.8 Elmar in M-Mount. The rear element is very clean, as are the internal elements. For some reason the inside of the front element has etching or haze. I am not sure if it can be removed. I have not used this lens much, but I would assume stopped down it would give decent results. It has 15 blades in the aperture. With a new front element, (which can be obtained from Sherry Krauter) this would be a very good sample.
Sold "As Is" for $175.00 Shipped.
I would give a deal on both if somebody wanted them as a package

That's what I was wondering. The DOW has dropped 5000 points since last October . . .

Sounds like a nice canidate for a CLA, I agree. Do you know anything about the costs related to fixing the film counter? Is that something a CLA would fix, or would that cost extra?

A normal full CLA would cover all of those items. There may be a small parts charge, but that is why it is priced accordingly. Somebody could have a very nice M6 with a full CLA for not a lot of money....

Camera still available- Shot with it this weekend, and it worked great, just have to make a mental note of where the frame counter starts. Focus, meter, etc all were spot on!
