Hi,

Noorderlicht Photography is an organisation in the North of the Netherlands that is closely related to a large number of photography-driven festivals, exhibitions, galleries, book releases and more, both national and international.
Noorderlicht ('Northern Light') receives annual funds from the Dutch government that help it exist, expand, develop and exhibit work from both up and coming photographers from the Netherlands and the rest of the world.

The funds that are granted are annually divided based on an assessment by the Cultural Board of the Netherlands. This year there's a crisis going on that also has had it's effect on the amount of money available for the funds.
The Cultural Board has advised agains the annual funding for Noorderlicht, effectively ending the Photography community that Noorderlicht has become over the years.

Noorderlicht has started a separate Facebook page that allows photographers from all over the world to connect to and post to, so that the pressure on the Cultural Board will be on when they have to decide on the appeal against their decision.
