OM, I've become a Zuikoholic!

Love the images from that 85mm f2 ... mine's pretty beaten up with plenty of cleaning marks on the front element but I still rate it as almost as good as the early 90mm Summicron I had.

My new favourite Zuiko is the late 35mm f2 I got from Maitani ... it's barely been off my OM-1. Considering I'm an habitual 50mm shooter and really love my 50mm f1.2 that surprises me but I'm seriously starting to to think an OM-1 and a 35mm is god's gift!

I keep going out to shoot with my 50mm and 85mm in the Domke ... but they never make it out of the bag! I'm also starting to really like Acros in Rodinal ... it handles the extreme Oz light in the middle of the day better than any 100 film I've used.

I think these were both at f8 ... maybe f5.6

It's always the way ... I bought 100ft of LP100 when Freestyle had it in stock and wasn't overly impressed after developing it in Xtol. It's a very different film in Rodinal IMO which I've only disovered recently! In Xtol it looked very digital for some reason ... where as Rodinal gives it some grain and bite.

I tend to stick with B/W films I can bulk load so it's not looking good when I finish what I currently have.

Here's another from the same roll ... it was an extremely bright glarey day and shot at about an hour or so after midday. Normally if I take pics at this time of day in light like this they look like crap!

I have two OM's needing new light seals. They were my first SLRs, and I never felt compelled to change systems. The OM-1 is, to my mind, a perfect camera of its kind. Right now I'm using my Bessa more, and enjoying the relatively new thrill of rangefinder shooting, but I'll never part with my OM's

Legacy Pro 100 was really Fuji Acros 100. I've only found two developers that gave nice tonality with Acros. Rodinal, and PMK Pyro.

That was why I got it ... at the price Freestyle were flogging it for, in hindsight, I should have got a lot more Chris.

I realise I can still get it in normal rolls but I don't find the price that attractive and I prefer to shoot 24 exposures at a time rather than 36.

Yeah, their prices were awesome. I never bought any because I don't use Acros much, and mostly in 120 size when I do use it. I have used a few hundred rolls of the Freestyle rebranded Tri-X, and still have 45 rolls left in my stash! Tri-X and Delta 3200 are two films I use for most things that I do in 35mm.

Nice tones, pleasant grain.

No filtration ... toned the sky down a bit in post but not really much else.

I think this late model 35mm f2 is a killer lens. My old early version (beaten up somewhat) would have struggled in these conditions.

I agree, I managed to get a 'new/old stock' 35mm f2 earlier this year and it's great: very pleasing contrast and rendering.

Hello. I found this forum by a google search and there is some really great stuff here! Very inspiring.

I recently found my Mom's old OM-1 and a couple of Zuiko lenses. I haven't seen the camera since I was a kid. I'm learning how to shoot and process film. What a blast.

This was shot with the OM-1 and a 50mm Zuiko.

I recently sold my 55mm f1.2 and bought a late 50mm f1.2 to replace it. Wide open, the older lens was very soft so I was pleased to see the results with the 50mm. Interesting bokeh - which I rather like - but sharp where it needs to be.

I recently went to Yakushima, an island in southern Japan known for being the inspiration for "Princess Mononoke". I took a 21/2, 50/2 and two bodies. I confess to little experience with slide film or with extreme humidity environments. Certainly, this resulted in a lot of bad shots. However, a few were worthwhile.

I suppose it was inevitable that I join the OM ranks at some point... and when this kit came my way in superb condition for $50, I couldn't pass it up. Some new light seals, a moist q-tip cleaning, and she is good as new. 1 roll down, can't wait to use it more.
