I use my (evil) SLR when I shoot landscapes, so I can use filters...
...like a polarizer
....or a graduated neutral density filter.
These were taken with a Minolta X-370, and a 45mm f/2 and 28mm f/2.8, respectively.

I'm working on new cycling images:

I tend to use the OMs for street photography with slightly longer lenses and the Bessa with the wider ones but this is a better example of when I wouldn't bother with an RF at all.

Here's one of mine with an Oly E500 and I'm guessing the same kit lens.

NYC Canon 10D w/ 50/1.8. M5 and canon 50/1.4 till it became too dark to focus quickly with such small DOF. The auto-focus on the 10D kinda felt like cheating.

I have been doing a lot of shooting with my digital SLRs recently. Most of these hae been taken with then - including a Panasonic L1 which I regard as a kind of honorary rangefinder sue to the way it handles.

Stumbled on this thread again and after going through it came to the conclusion that most of the photos could have been taken either an SLR or RF. That is except the telephoto ones. Sorta throws some doubt, for me at least, that the type of camera dictates a certain style or subject matter.

This couldn't have been done with a rangefinder. I was way too close, about 18 inches. Shot with a 50mm f1.4 Zuiko lens on an Olympus OM-4T on Tmax 3200 at EI 1600.
My grandpa's cat after he died. She stayed in that window for weeks after, looking outside or sleeping. She only came down to eat or go to the litter box for a long time.

I like that pic Chris and what you say about the minimum focusing distance makes it possible to pick the SLR shots on occasions. One of my great frustrations with my 50mm f1.2 Canon RF lens is the one meter minimum!
