Just waiting for the mail, anyone?

At the moment I'm waiting for 90mm f4 Elmar (traded with Brian), a lens hood from Victor for my Canon 50mm f1.9, and a brown lizard skin cover from Japan for my M2.

Anyone else waiting on the mail?

I just received the Oly OM2s ($20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) from Jon, waiting on the Canon 50mm F1.5 that needs a new butt from you, and waiting on a J-3 in LTM from Russia.

If the Canon is anything like my Nikkor 5cm f2 front cell, there is an off chance that it will work on an SLR as the back-focus and focal length will be too long. Worth a try!

Word Perfect Works for DOS (no joke, want to check it on my HP 100LX)

Oops, nearly forgot the black Minox C. After this Thread about these little pieces of camera art I thought why not try a "real" Minox instead of my plastic Minox MX and now... I am waiting

Hmmm, let me see.... (I hope my wife doesn't see this )

Quantum Calcu-Light XP from ebay - due in a few days...

Steinhell 135/4.7 (MF lens for my Speed Graphic) - due any day now....

some other trinkets, not worth mentioning...

... and, if everything goes well, soon a CV Nokton 50/1.5 - with the prices of Jupiter 3 (50/1.5) lenses these days, I guess $200 for a CV Nokton is a very good deal - much newer glass than Jupiter, no cleaning marks, well built, and I can be sure it will focus properly on my Leicas

I guess all the local postal/Customs guys already know me and my hobby by now

Denis

Lens hood to fit from American Eagle(?)
55mm Lens hoods (2) for my Yashicas (the current one is about 6mm too deep resulting in a little vignetting when focused near infinity, and beyond)

The price was $200!!!! This would have been a good day to have stayed home so that when that was posted I would have had a shot at it instead of having been in my car. Great deal.

Just a clutch master cylinder assembly for the Nighthawk. I know it's not cameras, but you asked!

I think I'm going to stop using standard parcel service from the US, and get express parcel or courier service. I can't stand these five week waiting periods any longer, but I do like the low cost. How do my fellow Canadians get their gear shipped from the US?

The postman has been good to me this week, delivering a package on Monday, Wednesday and today. None of them, however, are rangefinder connected. A Praktica LTL3 with 50mm f/2 MC Pentacon lens; A Praktica VLC2 with 29mm f/2.8 Pentacon lens and today a 35mm f/2.8 Flektogon lens in Exakta mount. A couple of items are still to be delivered so maybe tomorrow will bring something else.

Salyut (not sure if it's the S or not) MF camera.
Diafine.
Jupiter 9 from the Ukraine.
Tamron 105/2.8, some 58mm filters and other stuff.

Fed 2, not even paid for yet, so it wouldn't be shipped yet
Oly 35SP, same situation as the Fed 2.

That's it for now... I think

I'm still waiting for the rangefinder book. It seems Lulu.com shipped it without an invoice on the outside of the box. So I had to provide the Belgian Post with an invoice/proof of payment. I'm curious what the book will cost me in the end :-(

Waiting on a 28/1.9 ultron and M adapter, and VC ll meter.......the wait is killing me, I track my items about 60 times a day on the Fed ex website and it's obvious they don't have the same enthusiasm about getting the stuff to me as I do

My first "brand new" Rangefinder.

A black Bessa R with CV 35/2.5 lens from Mr. Gandy, ordered during his free shipping offer while he was in Japan.

Might be another week or so.

Regards,

Bill K.

Ralph, the price is $237 including the postage to Croatia. I think I did well - I've been looking for that lens for a while, even thinking about Jupiter 3, and here comes a photo.net regular, straight guy, who is willing to ship to Europe, and goes an extra mile.... Now I don't feel that bad about missing the annual camera show next Sunday - the weather forecast is awful, and I'm literally swamped with work!
I just had to vent - and quickly - this Nokton came just in time for that!!!

Should produce very nice photos! And with my Summicron front cell off to Ukraine for repolishing and recoating, I'll be set with 50mm focal length

Denis
