96F air temperature in the shade.
I'm in the cool basement with the cat and my netbook.
Happily I installed the bedroom air conditioner yesterday.

I'm going out shooting in just a few minutes! I'm up in Queens, NYC right now, currently 93 degrees outside but just about to peak so it'll only get cooler this evening. Tomorrow is another story.
Gonna try not to get dehydrated today walking everywhere. My feet are already protesting.

I walked from my office over to the local mall in downtown Toronto - I almost melted if it wasn't for my keen control of my own mind...
Cheers,
Dave

The heat gets to me sometimes, but then I realize it's just sweat. Enjoy the day. Take a shower when you get home.
That said, I stay indoors when temps go over about 105F.

This Saturday is the Mermaid Parade in Coney Island, and the first heat wave just began today in NYC.
A big group of us will be out there shooting, and by then the baking process will be more complete.

People were giving me sh*t last year for not shooting when it was 111F in Texas.

I sure hope that you post some of those pictures on the web somewhere and point the RFF to it.
That would be great !

I'm a skinny guy. I'll take a hellish NYC summer over a hellish NYC winter. I really suffer from the cold.
Also I have a rare blood disease that seems to be getting worse as I age that may force me to move to a milder, meaning hotter/warmer, climate.
I would really have to leave NYC because I want to live here when I retire. For me cold weather is my Kriptonite.

As an Alberta boy hot and humid create vast amounts of sweat. I spent 6 weeks in southern Illinois doing an archaeology class a long time a go. Any sustained amount of physical activity left me standing in puddles. A guy from Louisiana spent the whole summer in jeans and long sleeves because for him it was cold!

75 and sunny here in San Francisco. I don't mind hotter temps but the humidity can make it pretty unpleasant.
I've played many rounds of golf in 120+ degree Palm Springs heat...dry and not too bad. Just keep on drinking (water).

Already there's a thread. Check out the thread about the "Big/Special June Meet-Up."
This month in NYC we had a regular Meet-Up and now we have this grand event that will be so much fun. We have a steady group of regulars, but we also have guests from all over the world.
For over three years we have had regular monthly meet-ups, except for perhaps one or maybe two times we skipped a month. We also had three annual camera beauty pagents where we mostly laugh and make fun of ourselves.
Over the years I've made some very good friends and met many-many talented people. Thank you RFF.
BTW I shoot only film, and I don't scan, but I'm sure there will be lots of shots posted by others.

I live in Texas, and you do acclimate to the high summer temps over time, to some degree. Even so, anything over 105 definitely feels unpleasant.

I'm on the border of the Texas Piney Woods and the Post Oak Belt. A nice subtropical climate. It ain't the heat, it's the #$$%% humidity. I could shoot in it since my job requires I work in it. :P
