Two additional cards today in the post box: Amazing! Thank you Gareth and Oscar. My count is now at 54 and these are the remaining candidates:

Martin ~ Deicka, Czech Republic
Jason ~ Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Shakif ~ Twickenham, Middlesex, UK
Pavel ~ Rollo, MO

Did you see any additional post of these members in the last few weeks? I'm not aware of and they may have abandoned for some reason this project.

Valentino (dct), Dan (seakayaker) & I have similar counts. The remaining names that I have for cards yet to be delivered are:

Martin (Vobluda) ~ Deicka, Czech Republic
Jason (beyond) ~ Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Oscar (stratcat) ~ Fracc. Misiones de la Noria, Mexico City, Mexico
Shakif (harlequin ??) ~ Twickenham, Middlesex, UK
Pavel (pevelg) ~ Rollo, MO

I realized over the weekend that I don't have enough magnets to hang them all?!?

Also at 52 after receiving a couple of cards yesterday–great! And I'm looking forward to the final few... Maybe we can wait another week or so before posting images?

Got one today! Now at 52 or 53--I'll double check my count after work tonight.

Tomorrow is Aug 1 and while I did suggest that date as when we start sharing our cards, I would like to adk that we all wait just a little more. I propose we start sharing on MONDAY next. That would be the 6th of August.

Everyone OK with tht plan?

Rob

Hi Rob,
What exactly do you mean by "sharing" cards?

Hi, Raid!
By sharing our cards, I mean that we can post the photo here that we used and a photo of all the cards we received. No one is required to do this but I like to as it acts as a kind of epilogue to the project.

As well, it gives us the oppurtunity to discuss the photos and share a bit of our reasoning/decsions.

Warm regards,
Rob

Yes, very good idea. I'm also at 52 cards now, and since the missing are coming from overseas and have been sent late, I would like to wait some days more.

I have had some trickling in the past week or so, including a very nice one from Oscar in Mexico today.

Recents include:
- Mike from Derbyshire
- Gareth from Toronto
- Ben from Boston
- Aad from Rotterdam
- Q. Hoti from the Great White North
- Ralph (Rover)
- Joe from Ohio
- and Olivier from Canada

Great work all! It feels like I'm going on a little worldwide tour

Good points Rob. And I will razz most of us again with detail questions to the shot, gear and card production, if not already provided

Thank you Mike for the offer, it is appreciated!

I'll will let you know if it does not turn up in a week or so. It does appear that folks have received your card in the last few days, so hopefully yours will be in the mailbox in the next couple of days.

Dan

Thanks Ted, I will look around the house for any stray envelopes. The neighbors have been great if a piece of mail ends up in the wrong box on the street I live on. Everyone once in a while I do get a piece of mail with a different address altogether and the best you can do is stick it back in the box with a note to the mailman to deliver to the right address.

If someone else receives it, I hope they enjoy it!

My total card count is like yours, Lynn. Maybe a few people sent out their cards a couple of weeks after most had done so already. I don't want to lose any of the cards that are on the way to me.

I could tell this one was on the way from Dan's (seakayaker) posting the other day and indeed Oscar's (stratcat ~ Mexico City, Mexico) colorful postcard arrived today. That brings my count to 54.

Morning from KL fellow RRFers. My photos are still on my desk. Sorry guys. Preoccupied with my wife and baby in the hospital. Wife got admitted for sepsis and delivered the baby prematured. Now Babi is still in NICU. Kindly expect a late delivery from me. Thanks.

Thanks for the update, but really, don't worry about the postcards. You have much more important things needing your attention.

You and your family are in my thoughts -- we had good friends who went through something similar 18 months ago. It was a traumatic time, but mother and baby both pulled through just fine. So, stay strong and keep hopes high!
