I'm probably going with a panoramic shot and am trying to find out how best to send it using the Kyrgyz postal service. Postcards may not be the best idea, maybe I'll just stick it in an envelope.

While looking at various options I stumbled on these peel-and-stick postcard backings. Looks like it would be ideal for those of you printing your own.

I'm just scanning my first four roles of home developed 35mm film and might use something from them. Very excited to begin this project!

Just done a trial run with 'brainwood'.
Commercially produced print backed with two sheets of 'Self Adhesive Photo Paper - matt, 110gsm' went through the post to him virtually unscathed. This is possibly a much cheaper solution than having photos printed commercially as postcards. OK, not quite the thickness but does give you the opportunity to do some extra printing on the backing.
Something to consider?

Seems, that there is not much activity here, anymore. Just pushing the thread, so that more users have the chance to participate.

'Jesse1dogs' trial run card looks the part and is stiff enough not to get damaged in the post and as Jesse says cheaper than commercial postcards

the glossy print makes it look .. well ...like a postcard

PS: sounds interesting. never heard about the first try. Would b even more interesting if everybody was doing wet print but yea, we're in 2012.
I will check if it fits my schedule (seriously...!) but i might be joining!

PS2: did i get it right? All participants send prints of a certain shot displaying his or her boobs to every other participant? In form of a postcard or eventually in an envelope?
I would prefer all postcards, too. A stamp glued on it, and stamped at the post office, adds extra value (says a former stamp collector)

Was there a gallery of all the cards created last time around? It would be cool to see all those images.

No gallery that I am aware of but if you start on page 20 the last few pages of the old thread has the photographs that were used on the postcards.
