Thumbs up RFF POSTCARD PROJECT Part Deux...

The first one went pretty well, I think, and was truly a fun thing to have organized and participated in.
So, I am happy to do another one.
I think the same format as before; standard postcard, subject and gear open to each person's choice.
Print your own or have 'em made by whoever you choose. BW or Color.
If folks would rather send a small print in an envelope that's OK as well.
I think the final count was 39 of us, and I did not limit that number in anyway other than setting a time limit for folks to email me their addresses.
This time of year, I am much busier at my job than I was for the last one and some folks the last time expressed concern that the time frame was a bit short. And the same concern has been mentioned for this one as well.

So.
I think I will collect addresses from now--Friday 4 May 2012--until Friday 1 June 2012 and then we should plan on mailing by 27 June 2012.

As before, please email me your name, address(PLEASE make sure it is correct and correctly formatted!), and RFF username.
Put "RFF POSTCARD 2" as the subject line.
My email:
rob<dot>biemer<at>gmail.com

I will NOT use your info for for anything other than this project.

Who wants to play?
Rob

I'm in.

Just sent you an e-mail after discovering, too late, that I'm actually capable of reading and that you prefer e-mails to PMS.

Sent you my address again separately.

Thanks!

Sorry to the participants I may not have acknowledged in the first round, at the end I was pressed for time. I will go over my postcards again and see if I left out anyone.

After reading the last postcard project thread, I think I got the idea.
Email sent.

Is there a list of good places to print postcards?

I don't think I can afford more than 50 cards, nor do I want to write that many addresses! Any way to limit this?

If there are 100 participants, can the the order change so the first parson mails his/her cards to people 1-50 on the list, the second member mails 2-51, etc, the 50th member mails 50-100 and starting with member 51, it begins to go around, e.g. the 53rd person ont list will mail people 53-3 (53-100 and 1-3).

Suggestion to participants:

On the back of your post card, could you write/type your RFF id?

I'm in again too - email sent.
Might be postcard, might be print in envelope, haven't decided.
It does depend a bit on the numbers involved.
I'm happy for up to 50.

However can we create some kind of the place where all addresses will be ? Last time the email thread of last minute change was kind of confusing. We can create google document with participant's address and share it on the web ?

I believe the cost of the Postcard Project 2 is offset by the interesting cards received from around the world. To participate seems like a bargain as well as a creative challenge.

Thanks Rob, I'm in again. I think I can go 50 max with real postcards (I'm going to use moo), or up to 100 or 150 with just 4x6" prints used as postcards.

Assuming Intl. mix, maybe 50-75% US?

For those wanting to use moo, here's a 10% discount code:

To anyone new or hesitating, it's a great project. We all got a real range of cards from other people and it's a great chance to think about what you can give as well.
