I have to say I don't like that added grain courtesy of LR ... particularly on his hands.

LRs grain is a bit strange in mid tones and highlights, but I think there's also some over sharpening that's really emphasizing it in that photo.

I agree it's ugly maybe because of the heavy crop as the window light is overpowering thus I cut it a lot.

9fps makes HDR fun - but Olympus does not really believe in it with +/-2 EV the max shift.
Taken alongside the hoi polloi of Nikon and Canon users at a local Sonoma Meetup group HDR workshop
25mm Summilux DG on E-M5

whats so great about oly m4/3: when working with RF legacy lenses NO focus shift, NO color shift= NO problems!

Your comment confused me slightly: the 25mm Summilux DG is a native m43 lens from Panasonic that carries the Leica name, although the true degree of Leica involvement is probably very minimal.

Maybe you have an extensive background/experience with P/S. I don't, so I'm not sure what your point is.

Man, the "that looks like a P&S!" comments are popular with every new mirrorless release. Strange how the M9/D800/IQ180 never gets them even with similar images.

I'd say the images are pretty nice---and surely good enough for what the camera is meant for.

I'm not certain what P/S camera could obtain the shallow DOF of an m 4/3 camera with an f1.7 lens....but I'm all hears to hear of one.
