Since I'm mostly interested in high ISO performance in crappy lighting when using digital, attached is a boring shot taken inside a diner @ ISO 6400 in macro mode using the 18/2 (f/2 & 1/60th sec.), straight conversion to TIFF from the raw file, with no noise reduction, sharpening, etc., only a bit of curves adjustment before converting to JPG in Photoshop. The 2nd file is obviously just a crop of the 1st.

Above, 35/1.4 at 3200 in fairly bright light. Below, 35/1.4 in the crap light of the Alaskan Bar. Auto white balance @ 3200.

A few hours after the tornados, the light was kind of odd around here. JPG imported to LR4, no alterations except for a little noise reduction and export.

Both shot with 35/1.4 at ISO 3200 in Fine Medium size (+ RAW). Then the Jpegs were transferred to iPhone using Eye-Fi direct mode, then photo streamed to iPad, then uploaded to Picasa.

Here are a few which I shot today. I have to say that shooting with the X-Pro is really a pleasure. The camera is light enough that carrying around my neck all day is no problem, and the camera seems to take a perfectly exposed shot, no matter what the conditions.

Long time I didn´t have such a pleasure shooting a camera; not since my father´s Voigtländer Vito B to be honest (original, small edition); that camera died in ´77 from shutter failure, after more than 20 years of faithful service!

Here are a few all with 35mm, OOC JPG without any post-processing. The other two lenses are on back order here, should finally be delivered next week.

Outstanding pictures and processing! How do they compare to OOC JPGs, if you shot them together?
I wish Aperture could deliver a bit faster, time to start using SilkyPix I guess...

Few photos, one with the 18, one the 35, one the 60. 100% crops as well. Great camera, but I had some focus issues with the camera - it would, at times, just not lock on to what I wanted to focus on. Last shot shows the dynamic range - from the deep shadow of the footwells to the bright highlights in the clouds. All jpegs, all straight out of the camera, no adjustments AT ALL. (which is worthy of note - perfect exposure, white balance and colour, as far as I'm concerned...)

I must say that I am quite pleased with the dynamic range - especially for using the higher contrast Velvia simulation. Both shots taken in the late afternoon sunlight, yet the deep shadow areas still hold detail.

Here's a random shot that I worked over in Photoshop using Topaz. ISO 640 at 1/10 sec. (handheld).

My grandfather's 88th birthday dinner, then one of my friend's daughter mugging for the camera. All in-camera JPGs, I upposed the contrast and clarity of the last. In-camera B&W still doesn't hold a candle to good Silver Efex Pro work, but it's not terrible.

AF missed more than a few but the 35/1.4 remains absolutely amazing - and it's nice to be able to flip a switch to macro for shots like the last.
