My two favourite (and only) focal lengths! It's usually a toss up between a 35/1.4 and a 50/1.2.

35mm - CV Color Skopar PII 2.5 and Zeiss C-Biogon 2.8
50mm - Leica Summarit 2.5 and CV Heliar Classic f/2
I guess I like small, well performing, lenses that are slow, have short focus throws, and not much distortion.

A Biogon 35mm f2 and a f2 50mm Summicron. And happy with it! :-)

My rangefinder time started out with 40mm lenses. When I moves up to LTM bodies, I started with 50s as they were inexpensive and fast.
In medium format, I shoot the equivalent of 50mm most of the time so I've adjusted to it, but in 35mm cameras, I find myself using 50mm either for the speed or as a short portrait lens.
If I had a fast 35mm, I'd probably use it much more than 50mm. If I'm only going to take one lens, its usually a moderately fast 50 (either 1.8 or 1.5) as I often find myself needing the extra speed compared to my 35 (a 2.8).

For RF use, smaller (slower) the better. Currently use the VC 35 2.5 which is a fine lens. For my 50 I use a 70s era Summicron, although I tend to use SLRs when wanting the use of 50-90mm focal lengths. The Nikkor 50 f1.4 is a particular favorite, mated to a plain prism F.

Both my 50 and 35 mm are Voigtländer Color-Skopar f/2.5 lenses.
My fast lenses are an Ultron 28mm f/2 and Nokton 40mm f/1.4. The Nokton is perhaps my most used lens on the GXR-M. I use the 35 and 50 Skopars mostly on the Leica M4-2.

I found these pairs matching well on my film Leicas.
Sonnar ZM 50/1.5 w. Summilux 35/1.4 pre-As.
Summicron DR 50/2 w. Summicron 35/2 (8-elements)
Summicron 50/2 V5 w. Summicron 35/2 Asph.

35/1.2 and 50/1.5, so I guess I'm a speed addict.

I got a good deal on a postwar coated Summitar in beautiful shape for my IIIf. Never did find any comparable deal on vintage 35mm glass, so I sprung for a used CV 35/2.5.

My fast lenses are also the Ultron f/2 and the Nokton Classic f/1.4.
I use the Nokton when I need a 28mm that's a little tighter

35mm summicron, ver.IV or ASPH. Just bought a 35 cron ver.1, but haven't yet received it.
50mm Summilux ASPH/50mm Noctilux. Couldn't be happier with either of these two lenses.

This is what I have (doesn't mean I use them all the time)
Nikon
50mm 1.4 Ai (2)
50mm 1.4 non-Ai
50mm 1.8 AF
50mm 2.0 Ai (don't really use it)
35mm 2.0 Nikkor-O Ai'd
35mm 2.8 Ai
Pentax Asahi
50mm 1.7 (2)
Takumar (M42)
50mm 1.4
35mm 3.5
I guess all of my 50's would fall under the Fast category...one fast 35 and two slow ones...
35mm lenses are fairly new to me...I do like the FOV I get with them...and prefer them over a 28mm

I have a 2.5 35mm (Color Skopar) and I use a variety of fast and slow 50's. I have a 1.5 Jupiter-3 for when I need speed, but I also have an Elmar 2.8 for when I need that beautiful Leica look and some extra portability.

You forgot "All of the above."
My motley collection contains the following. Not all rangefinder lenses. I like them all.
35/3.5
35/2.8
35/2.0
50/3.5 (x2)
50/2.0
50/1.4 (x2)

Until recently i was using pretty much only 35 and 50 Summicrons but over the last six months I have acquired a 35 and 50 Summilux and now use those almost exclusively .
