Aki Asahi is back!

Good news! I stumbled upon Aki Asahi's website today and to my amazement it's open and back in business again:

That's good news for all.

He is a true gentleman to do business with.

Let's hope it stays up this time.

Thanks as well, I ordered the leather covering for my EP2. The dark tan snap case looks good, anyone using this?

Communication is always somewhat difficult (due to the language barrier, obviously), but orders via web shop tend to be processed quite fast. All curtain material that I ordered after the shop reopened was shipped within a business day or two and reached me within two weeks.

Good to hear!! Do anybody of you know if there is a replacement for Leica M7 available? The battery compartment is a little different from the MP/M6...

Hmmm.

I bought several items from him, mostly coverings, up to a year ago, and his service was exemplary.

Then I got a real runaround with the GF1 case - sporadic emails, promises my order was underway, promises to get back to me within a certain time... I wasted months waiting for him. ( I should add, I hadn't paid, he kept promising to send a PayPal invoice but never did so).

I've never had an explanation as to what happened, but if I were to deal with him again - and he does have excellent stuff - I would approach him with caution.

I tried again to order through his website - no response.

I've checked my Spam folder in my e-mail - nothing there either.

Does anyone know how the order process works?

I ordered from his website and put in my Paypal address.

I received an email confirmation stating that my order will be shipped after I pay but no way to pay from the email. Does he send a separate bill to my Paypal account?

I bought a light seal kit from him. One thousand per cent perfect fit, mailed, I think from Japan, and got to CA as fast as from the
East coast. Very easy guy to do business with.

Yes, separate email. You will get it later, probably.

Those look like great products.

Does he also sell straps to match the cases? I don't see them on the site...

Robt.
