There is no voice recognition. It's not possible to set the camera to know what specific lens is on your M8, though this is possible on an M9.
Easiest is to use no filter and set the camera to no UV/IR and Lens Recognition Off. Then you get some IR contamination in picture colors, sometimes not noticeable, sometimes (especially indoors with tungsten light source) quite annoying.
The UV/IR filter will remove the IR contamination, but at the price of "cyan drift" at edges and corners of the frame. You can remove this cyan yourself with software such as the free CornerFix. Or you can have the lens 6-bit coded, set the camera to Lens Recognition On and UV/IR. Then the camera automatically does its best to take care of natural vignetting and cyan drift.
