She's all like, "you never use a flash with your Leica!"

No more than $30. People try to sell them for much more, but you can find a good one if you're patience and scour the auctions or craigslist.

To tell you the truth, the quality of this camera is mediocre. The components are often prone to failure. The finder patch can hardly be described as bright or punchy. My shutter button sometimes doesn't want to move. The winding-lever doesn't always spin, even when the film is loaded properly. The images it puts out are sometimes described as 'soft'; especially at the edges...

But when it does fire, it almost always produces a picture worth looking twice at.

I guess I'm lucky. My XA has seen steady work since it was bought brand-new in 1980 and it's been a trooper ever since that first day.

+1. That describes mine pretty well, too. Never had any trouble w/ it.

Yeah, the XA isn't a Leica, but a Leica doesn't fit into the front pocket of my jeans, which is why so many of my great shots have been taken with my XA - it was there, and my other (bigger) cameras weren't!

Neopan 400. A little bit grainy due to the fact that the Tmax-Dev was expired a little bit.

I just got one of these puppies on Friday and took it out on Sunday morning loaded with a roll of HP5+ to test it out. It's a keeper.
