Ricoh GXR/A12: Favorite B&W Shots

As I've been shooting with the GXR/A12 for some time now, and as I have recently posted some color pictures, I thought I would now post my favorite ten B&W pictures that I've shot with this camera.

Pak Nam Pran | Ricoh GXR/A12 | 50mm EFOV | ISO 200 | f/2.5 | 1/80 sec

Thanks for posting your top ten, this B&W work is very well done. The GXR and GRD III are expressive tools in your hands. I enjoy seeing B&W photographs but don't seem to have the eye to make them myself, thus I appreciate the work of those who can all the more....
Thanks again Mitch....

it is good to see Mitch is well and in one piece.

I was kind of worried for one period that my favourite Ricoh photographer was in Bangkok peril...

Thanks for the concern. Actually, I wasn't anywhere near the shooting: the day after it started I was returning from Manila and learned that my street was in closed. Therfore, I just changed planes in Bangkok and continued to Chiang Mai, where I spent a week before returning to a calm Bangkok. I won't make any political comments here...

Not much of a reaction here to these shots, positive or negative, although the selection is varied enough to show some of the range of the GRX/A12. Is this because there is little interest in this camera, or is it simply because it doesn't make sense to have GXR/A12 threads on a Point and Shoot Forum, as this camera is not in any way a P&S?

When I tried posting a couple of GXR/A12 threads on the 4/3rds forum, some people grumbled that this camera didn't belong there. The most logical would be to have it on the same forum with the Leica X1 and other APC-S compact cameras, but there is no such thing.

Here's another B&W picture that I took a couple of days ago with the GXR/A12 and that has quite a different tonality than what I usually do:

Hello Mitch,

Do you post process much, or are these images 'hot off the sensor?'

Best regards,
