Original Case for Nikkor PC 85/2

Hi,

Borrowed a Nikkor PC 85/2 from my father. Stitching on lens case (holding top to lid) rotted. Would like to replace the case. Any info on what case I should look for?

The one I have measures OD 3.25", H approx 3 and 7/8".

Thanks.

Are you concerned with trying to keep it all-original, or do you want one to protect it?

A number of F-mount cases are close. I use a case for a 135/3.5 for mine. I keep the hood mounted on it, with a series VII IR cut filter.

Thanks DanOnRoute66,
I have scored a case. I keep all my lenses out of cases; just wanted to replace what did not belong to me that came apart on my watch.
