I recently bought a Komura 35mm 2.8 lens from the auction site. Unfortunately it backfocuses badly on my M6. I've wondered about getting rid of it but don't want to cheat the next guy who gets it. It's just been sitting on my desk and for a few months now and I've finally accepted that i should try to get it fixed. Any recommendations about where to send it and how much it would cost? I'am guessing theirs nothing i can do to get it to work right?

you're not too far away from Brian Sweeney, he might consider helping you out when it comes to collimating. The 35/2.8 has what appears to be a very sturdy aperture mechanism and the general construction seems pretty straightforward too. I reckon it should be too hard to work on if you know your way around lenses.
I for one would be interested to know the optical layout of that lens, how many elements in how many groups?

I was wondering if i can shim this by making the M mount adapter a little thicker? Kind of curious also if my lens is actually not optimized for the Leica standard and is more like the contax? what are they 51.5 vs 52.7mm?
