Paul, cameras, books and knifes, my three addictions! But here in Germany it has become an art form to choose a pocket knife that fits into the narrow borders set by law.

It's made by a very small German watch maker Guinand. It's called Flying Officer, and it runs modified 7760 hand winding movement going 1 revolution in 24 hours. Guinand made the watch with same name and very close aesthetics several decades ago. This is the "new" version made by Mr. Sinn (founder of Sinn), the owner of reborn Guinand then, currently the mastermind of the company's watch designs.

Rotary phones aren't just a hoot or a joke. They keep on working when the power goes out and all other electronics stop working. I keep 1 rotary dial phone in my house. Saved my mother-in-law's life during a long power outage.

Wow... I thought those old phones were illegal ! Something about possibly being electrocuted using them. In any case they sure look dangerous.

Dangerous as a bludgeoning weapon, yes. Electrocution hazard, no way.
Also not near as dangerous as the radiation your brain is soaking up every time you put a cell phone to your ear.

Good morning all. First time poster, recent lurker. Here's my newly acquired X100 along with a fine cup of coffee to get the weekend started. I just received the strap from Gordy yesterday. The quality is top notch.

After a successful purchase of my first 90mm M lens (1960 9cm/f4 Elmar-M) at a flea market, an espresso and a cigarillo is needed.

That cup is American espresso size, I think.
Size of this thing is kinda hard to say. When I first saw the product shots last year, I thought it was a lot smaller thing. After seen some in-hand shots, I thought this thing was huge. The camera I received was just about the size I thought it would be or a bit smaller than that.
Two more pics comparing the size, following the camera and coffee theme.

Ahh - next to the Leica, it makes much more sense - not too big at all!
Did you use it already? What do you plan to do with the files - convert to still photos for web with focus adjusted later or do you do some sort of web gallery for playing around?
I am curious about the possibilities - is there a thread for this new camera here on RFF?

Here is the thread I made a few days ago. You'll see some of the "live photos" with the camera on my album page. As of today, their embedding option is limited.
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/foru...d.php?t=117375
I've added several new interactive shots after the posting as well.

Just received a gift of $500 out of the blue, so I splurged it on the extra cost of a black X100. Really a great camera now that the firmware is mostly sorted.
